They were just free ones featured on the site from 3.0 and then stopped a little after 3.5 came out. Kinda like the "Map of the Week" feature.


Hollow's Last Hope is a free adventure with a follow up X2.


Most of them are short, but I find them to be very handy if PCs suddenly decide to take an interest in a location or feature that you meant to only mention in passing. "As you make your way to the dungeon you pass rolling hillside, sparse farms, and a weathered watchtower in the distance. Outside the dungeon..."

"My character investigates the watchtower."

".....give me a second."
