If 3 pc's are surrounding a target and that target provokes an AoO from all 3, is there an order to attacks of opportunity or are they considered to happen at the same time? If so how is the order determined? I ask because if 1 pc (that would go first)would trip the target with his AoO and the other AoO's go after then the target gains the prone condition for the purposes of their AoO's does that make sense?

I've never seen a rule on this, but my gut says go with normal Initiative Order. Alternately, given that AoOs occur is interrupts in the target's turn out of normal sequence, the option is highest-Dex. first, with Combat Reflexes as a possible trump.
As a DM, make a decision and stick with it consistently. That's my best advice.
FWIW,

Since Attacks of Opportunity interrupt the normal flow and are to be resolved immediately (page 180), my ruling in my games is that all are taken at the same time, so in your example while one guy was trying to trip, the other two (at the same time) are just attacking as a normal AOO and do not get the benefit of the prone condition.

If the provoker is an NPC, AOs should be taken in whatever order is least convenient or most annoying to the players.

All in good fun, of course.

When you provoke an AoO, you're attacked in the state you provoke in.
So, for something like Greater Trip, the act of being tripped provokes, but it doesn't resolve *before* the enemy goes prone. Therefore, everyone gets an attack on you without the modifiers from the prone condition.
However, for something like standing up, the act of standing provokes-- you're prone when you provoke, so everyone takes a swing with the modifiers from the prone condition.
Or at least, that's how I understand it.
For attacks, we resolve at random. Usually quick draw style, fastest d20 in the west kind of deal.

I like that idea. What say you, Nahtar, least convenient to you as a player?
