Hey all,
I recently upgraded to Adobe 9 and now I can't seem to retrieve artwork from the Paizo pdfs as I could before. Has anyone found a work around for this?
I also tried scouring the interwebs for the version 8 installer, but to no avail. Any idea where I could find that version if that is the only way around this issue?
Thanks.

There's a thread about some map creation/campaign software and somewhere in that thread is a link to the version 8 installer. They also explain (if i recall) that 9 has some issues retrieving images from files.

Yeah, that's either a bug in 9 or they intentionally removed the capability. You should get Acrobat 8. You can get it off Adobe's website, but you have to jump through some hoops to find it. There's another website too, but I can't ever remember the name; something about "latest version" maybe?
Ahhh, Here you go! Download v8.11

How have you been retrieving artwork from the PDFs?
I've been taking screen shots and pulling them into Photoshop, but pulling directly from the PDF would be a real time saver.

there's a tool that looks like a camera icon, you use that like a copy clip tool.

Shoot. I've got Adobe 9.
I guess I'll have to downgrade to 8 to use that.

This is because Adobe is not made to work with a 64 bit system. It will work but in the thumbnail viewer it creates a error which cause it not to work. Click on the link below and you can download a program which will automaticly fix the code. After that it works just fine.

Thanks for the tips everyone, but they haven't solved my issue. I can't use the fix provided by Dark Mistress because I use a Mac. The camera tool copies a rectangle of a page, but not the image itself. I also can't find the download for Adobe 8.
Any other ideas?

You can get Adobe Reader 8 from Adobe here. (You have to claim you have OS X 10.4.11 to 10.5.5 in order to be offered 8.2, but it should work just fine with newer OSs.)
(They're still supporting versions 7, 8, and 9 with security updates.)
And you don't want the Snapshot tool (a camera)—you want the Select tool (an arrow).
