Not at all. But not prominent enough as an "iconic character" to be featured.

Too bad, Queen Ileosa would also work in there as well, hey she is one of the iconic BG's, he he

No, stay on focus.

The goal is to persuade Paizo to make a "Babes of Golarion Swimsuit Calendar for 2011"!

Don't confuse the issue. ;P

No.

Hm... Swimsuit/Pin-up Calendar

January - Amiri
February - Lavender Lil
March - Seelah
April - Janiven
May - Shelyn
June - Lini
July - Kyra
August - Seoni
September - Harrower
October - Witch
November - Oracle
December - Merisiel

OR, to make it a Golarian calendar:

Abadius - Merisiel (iconic)
Calistril - Lavender Lil (SD npc)
Pharast - Seoni (iconic)
Gozran - Lini (iconic)
Desnus - Harrower (presige iconic)
Sarenith - Kyra (iconic)
Erastus - Janiven (CoT)
Arodus - Seelah (iconic)
Rova - Amiri (iconic)
Lamashan - the witch (players guide iconic)
Neth - oracle (players guide iconic)
Kuthona - Noticula (SD minor god)

-- idea was ninja'd

This idea is "made of good and win" as they say in teh intert00bz.

The one change I'd make is to try and squeeze Laori Vaus (from "Escape from Old Korvosa") into their somewhere. An elf chick in a slinky bodysuit - albeit one covered with spikes - is someone that a swimsuit calendar would need to have!

what is this, no Urgathoa lovin'?

and let's not forget about Golarion's favorite pin-up girl

OI.

But We also forget THE ELF, Shalelu! She needs more love!

Well,it's a little late in the year for a 2010 calender, but not too late to schedule one for 2011...

A swimsuit issue would be a great summer promotional product, I'd think. Print would probably be too expensive (though awesome) but as a PDF I'd have to think it would be cost effective.

Of course, we're just casting limited wishes here.

Yup, only a friend in a high place did a couple little changes to it, like changing the hair color.

I am feeling a lot of brotherhood, here. :D

Here here to all the fellow male for whom Amiri is the right woman!

Also, if they ever did make a cheesecake-y "Women of Golarion" calender, there would have to be a "Men of Golarion" counterpart. Fair is fair, if there's gonna be cheesecake, everyone should get a slice.

Fair is fair, but the term as it pertains to men is, according to my coworkers, 'beefcake', not 'cheesecake', which apparently only pertains to female pinups.

they would if they were sold together

Why don't we just pair them up as couples? That way both genders are represented! And no, I don't think Lem and Lini should be together, Its too obvious. Though who would be Seltiel's date? That could be awkward and hilarious at the same time.

as a Swimsuit Pin-Up Calendar?

How about ...
Jan - Amiri / (need Golariaon male suggestion)
Feb - Lavender Lil (from 2D Companion) / Valeros
Mar - Shalelu Andosana (from RotRL) / Sajan
Apr - Seelah / Vencarlo Orisini (from CotCT)
May - Seoni / Alchemist Iconic
Jun - Inquisitor Iconic / Harsk
Jul - Lini / Summoner Iconic
Aug - Kyra / (need Golariaon male suggestion)
Sep - Haleen (from LoF) / Cavalier Iconic
Oct - Witch Iconic / Seltyiel
Nov - Oracle Iconic / Lem
Dec - Merisel / Ezren

Note that, except for December, I tried to pair an Iconic with either a new iconic or an important NPC from the Golarion Sources.

For the two remaining men, we would also need exceptional heroic male NPCs from adventures/Golarion Source Books/Golarion Fiction. :)

Kyra could be paired with the:

Spoiler:

Balor from infernal syndrome.

While Amiri just begs for a:

Spoiler:

Genie from LoF.

Not necessarily.

Try this arrangement:

Feb - Lavender Lil (from 2D Companion) / Valeros
Mar - Shalelu Andosana (from RotRL) / Sajan
Apr - Seelah / Vencarlo Orisini (from CotCT)

Oct - Witch Iconic / Seltyiel
Nov - Oracle Iconic / Lem
Dec - Merisel / (need Golariaon male suggestion)

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

Nah! I still think we need to remain focused on the original goal here:
(at least my origianl goal)

I swimsuit calendar with the following:

Jan - Amiri
Feb - Lavender Lil (from 2D Companion)
Mar - Oracle Iconic
Apr - Seelah (still wearing her armor!)
May - Seoni
Jun - Inquisitor Iconic
Jul - Lini
Aug - (female NPC from from Kingmaker or The Serpent's Skull)
Sep - Kyra
Oct - Witch Iconic
Nov - Channa Ti (from LoF story)
Dec - Merisel

Contributor

Merisiel wins. No competition.

call me freaky but I'd like to see Urgathoa/Sarenrae one month maybe during march as a St. Paddy's day. Urgathoa's pelvis could be a shamrock and Sarenrae's hair flames could be green!

I'm hoping for black hair.

what about the Iconic Aasimaar Cleric pictured in the Bestiary? she's hot in the "i'm inncoent and pure hearted" kind of way. there are some of us with a celestia fetish. post the iconic Aasimmar from the bestiary, in her swimsuit. a frilly white 2 piece bikini could work for her. maybe some ruffled strips of transparent cloth hanging over the bottom half like a transparent ultra short microskirt, bottom half of the swim bottom still exposed. a naive, innocent, smile on her face. and innocent eyes of cuteness. i'd really focus on the innocence her. to the point of Moe Appeal.

I'm still rooting for an "Art of Pathfinder" art book, with a special pin-up section.

Probably. In the weekend newspaper here, there was a small note that a family in New Jersey had built a snow copy of the Venus de Milo in front of their house. A neighbour complained, and they had to either demolish it or dress it "properly" - they opted for dressing, I guess to show how ridiculous this is.

As long as facepalms like this do happen, it is probably better that no such calendar is printed. Here is one article on that.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the calendar business isn't a very profitable business. :)

Unfortunately, that does make sense.

Just a thought, but what about a Golarion Swimsuit Issue?

I could see something like this fitting in one installment of the Pathfinder Companion line. Just like with Sports Illustrated, it wouldn't need to be something that took up the entire issue, but it could constitute a fairly sizeable article. PLAY magazine has done a "Girls of Gaming" issue for about 5 or 6 years now and it always seems to be a popular issue. It was one of the few magazines we would actually sell out of back when I worked at an EB Games years ago...

Realistically, a one-off might be better.

Now, if they wanted to devote a Pathfinder Companion to the clothing fashions of the various nations/enthicities of Golarion, that might be interresting.

I wish they'd do a companion just on the iconics.

does that include the innocently iconic aasimaar cleric from the bestiary? you know, the one dressed in white and holding some kind of staff? that's pretty iconic itself.

OK, there are enough artists out there, how about a fan product.

How about a fan-produced (or Paizo sponsored) printed calendar with one iconic for each month plus some of the cheesecake-y NPCs.

Promote it. Do a pre-order for printing. And donate the proceeds to a charity like childs-play?
