Stone will put one hand on the shoulder of Widget to slow him down.

Widget, listen to me. Is there anything about this ship that makes it so we need to get it out of here? Any reason at all we can't abandon it? Do you have environmental suits for all of the survivors?

Allerick or Colvin, could one of you make sure the signal that led us here is disabled? It was clever and it did its job, but we want to make sure an enterprising Imperial doesn't pick up on it.

"Here is your hydro-spaner master Allerick." Following Allerick around IG will hand him various tools when asked for.

Take 10 on aid another mechanichs = 11.

Widget explains their current situation as he now understands you are here with Sirona and also working for the Senator.

"We were working with Senator Organa. We were on a mission to intercept an Imperial agent and retrieve information he had. We planned it carefully and escaped with no issues. However, we soon found out the agent had alerted the Imperials and a capital ship had jumped into orbit before we left and caught us dead to rights as we made our way to a hyperspace jump point. We caught some heavy damage and ended up here. The information is all stored in the ship's computer, which is offline. Since it is not a vital component to take off, we have even scrounged from that system for other repairs. If we abandon ship, we lose what we fought, and some have died, for." offers Widget forlornly.

As an afterthought, Widget asks you, "How did you fight off that beastly spider?

Allerick with IG-MDz's help, can easily make the repairs. The last thing you need is to run a powerline from the Banshee to the Bantha. Once you have enough siphoned power, you are good to go.

Some of us are going to need to patrol outside to make sure the ship isn't attacked again, or the powerline between ships isn't sabotaged. I'll go. Anyone else with me?

"It went smooth enough if I may say so myself," Alistair says without any hint of arrogance, his tone showing that he is merely making an observation.

He then turns to Stone, "There is little I can do in here, so I can come with you."

However, before following the other man outside, the Jedi pauses for a moment and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath as he lets the Force guide his senses where his eyes and ears cannot reach.

Use the Force (Sense Surroundings) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

"Thanks, Iggie. Hand me that spanner. The one with the metric toque converter. That one," Thumbing his comm, he broadcasts to the party, "As soon as we have that cable, I should be able to get us flying. (Comm off) Alright Iggie, let's see to the Hyperdrive."

Contrary to his usual self, Allerick working is actually a pleasant human being. Next, he'll see if the two of them can get the hyperdrive working again.

Can I take 10 on this? if so, with the aid of the tool kit and IG, I'll get a 31.

"Of course master Allerick." IG trails after Allerick, "This one?"

Widget looks at you incredulously. "Seriously? That thing was as bigger than a Rancor!" he spouts, disbelief apparent.

There are no targets, other than the crew, detected within the ship. Beyond that, your power won't reach with this sense.

Allerick and IG-MDz work together harmoniously to make the repairs competently and quickly. You still estimate the total time for repairs to be between 2-3 hours. Add about another hour to that to ensure power is restored enough to get vital systems up and checked.

I figure all of your checks to be with taking 10 and you are easily making the repairs and such. You may even be able to shave off an hour or so once things are done due to the great skill checks made.

"Thing? Bigger than a rancor?" Alistair echoes Widget's words before answering. "We fought six spiders, but they were not that much bigger than you or I."

The Jedi sighs. "Those are not the spiders you are referring to? There is a bigger one out there?"

Now, if I am not mistaken, the spiders were not that big, were they? Oh, me not liking this...

We're gonna need a bigger Jedi...

"Widget are you saying that Captain Jade has perished? Colvin looks a bit upset over that news if it is true.

"We are getting to where I draw the line, blasters on a space station, fine. Monsters on an asteroid not fine! We had better go back and make sure that our ship is not on the menu".

Colvin heads out with Alistair and Stone.

Colvin heads out with Alistair and Stone.

Widget looks at you with his over-sized, watery eyes. His lips quiver as he tells you, without a doubt, that the captain has perished.

"We lost about half the crew as they were out assessing the damage. Those things were like ghosts! Cap'n Jade fought that huge thing off brilliantly. He bought us time to get back in the ship. The last thing I saw was that monster picking up his limp body and shaking it!

He puts his head in his hands and rubs, hoping to scour the memory out. He recovers slightly and offers hopefully, "I think he may have injured it too. Don't know fer sure since we holed up here, hoping for a miracle."

Colvin turns to Alistair as they exit the ship to assist in Stone's patrol, "Alistair can you sensse if there is someone alive out there? Widget says that Jade died but all he saw was him being picked up by a gargantuan spider".

Three of you - Alistair, Stone, and Colvin - venture out to guard the ships in the cave. The mood is somber, knowing that the spiders you fought must have been hatchlings if what Widget said is true.

Minutes tick by, slowly, meticulously. Occasionally tremors shake the core of this vast asteroid, each movement chattering teeth and causes debris to rain down.

Shadows dance across the cavern, made more distracting due to the crystalline structures uncovered more and more from the falling debris.

Perception checks for those outside.

P.S. Where is Kess?

Male Human, Scoundrel 2/Soldier 1, HP 41/41 (Thresh 21), Init. +9, Per +8, Force Points 3

Perception - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Use the Force (Sense Surroundings) 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

If that spider took Jade off somewhere, should we try to find him?
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

After storing the crystals in her quarters, Kess goes after the others headed outside. When she meets them, she joins in the search.

UtF: Sense Surroundings: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

I am right here!

Tamara Kess wrote:

Unless I am mistaken, we are not on our ship actually, so we get to hold on to the crystals for now. :-)

Four of you pace outside, unsure of what to expect.

Two of you work diligently inside the Bantha to make the necessary repairs.

Time ticks away until Allerick and IG-MDz manage to coerce the ship into a pre-flight sequence.

As Widget assists in the program to get the ship moving, Alistair and Kess feel a surge in the force and detect something...elusive. It was there a second ago, come and gone like a viper in the thicket.

Stone grimaces. Ah, crap. Look he says, pointing at the ground. Grid lines appearing on the cavern floor. This is not going to be good.

Stone double checks his blaster to make sure it is good to go.

"Iggie, any problems with the pre-flight? Is the hull holding under flight conditions? And where did everyone go? That's just like them, never around when the real work gets done."

"Everything seems fine master Allerick. The others went outside to watch I think. Widget riled them up, saying somthing about a gargantuan spider lurking around." IG says distractedly focusing on the monitor Allerick asigned him to.

IG-MDz wrote:

"Gigantic spiders lurking on an asteroid, eh? See, that's the kind of nonsense you believe when you start thinking you have mystical powers... Shoddy thinking, that is."

IG halts in his duties and looks thoughtfully at Allerick, "I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss their claims master Allerick. I have memories of such people decimating whole batalions of droids single-handedly. It would be interresting to see if there is any truth to their claim. Who are we talking about again?"

Jedi eyes only:
You can FEEL something out there. Not an alien, spidery feel. It is something more elusive, more sinister. It is building up slowly as the dark intent begins to focus on you and your party. Both of you please give me a skill check for Use the Force.

"This is... odd," Alistair says simply as he opens himself to the Force.

Use the Force 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Alistair Cray wrote:

Use the Force 1d20 + 8

Alistair's eyes only:
You feel someone's mind brush against yours but your defenses snapped into place.

For Kalderaan:
Alistair will use the Force to try to identify and maybe pinpoint what or who is behind this. Not sure what application is relevant (Sense Force, Sense Surroundings, Telepathy?) so here is a general roll (unless, that is, the previous roll is adequate).

Use the Force 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

"Hmph. Maybe, Iggie, but I've seen enough wonders that I can explain to need to worry about the ones I can't. Besides, all I've seen of a lightsaber and mystic mumbo-jumbo so far indicates that all it gets you is more problems and a self-righteous attitude. I'd like to see them rewire a hyperdrive!"

Taking a full round action, you can use your "Use the Force" skill as you "Sense Force". You do sense another Force user, between 10 and 20 squares due east of your current position.

"Well Stone there is a big part of me that would like to get back on the ship that is working and get the hell out of here right now. Then there is this other part of me, the crazy part I guess, that thinks we should try to rescue Jade, after all that is what we came here to do.

I will be away fro a few days, I will try to post if I can, feel free to DMPC me. Colvin is warring with whether or not to go find Jade but if the others are willing to go he will go.

For Kess' eyes only!:
You also feel someone's mind brush against yours but your defenses snapped into place.

If we move further down the passage to try and find Jade and the large spider, we would also be further away from the ships. Richocet shots would be less likely to damage our ride out of here. What do you say, Jedi?

UtF: Sense Force 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

"Something is out there. Dark, sinister, but not like these spiders. More...focused, I think. I'm all for hunting Jade down, Stone."

Jedi only:
Are you going to act on any information provided or shall I prompt the situation? Alistair, you have clearly been 'scanned' by a force user who is almost within point blank range of you and you both sense hostility. What are you doing?

"We also need to seek something -or someone- else out as well, Kess," Alistair says softly to the young woman. Starting to move towards the Force-user he sensed at a quick pace, the Jedi unsheathes and ignites his lightsaber as he does so.

"There is another who can wield the Force here and his intentions are not good as far as I can tell," he remarks to Stone and Colvin.

Over the recent... Stone pauses. How long has it been? Days? Weeks? It seems like he can barely recall his life before, as though it has been years! Over our recent experiences, I have come to trust you both completely. If you tell me there is someone that is a threat to us, I am with you. Do we need to stay and guard the ships, or do we go forward and track him or her down?

"This Force user seems directly focused on us. I don't think the ship will be having any problems. Let's follow Alistair."

Kess goes after the other Jedi, igniting her own lightsaber as she does so.

Blaster pistol ready, Stone runs quickly to make sure the Jedi don't leave him behind.

Initiative rolls for everyone!!!!

Initiative 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Initiative 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Waiting on Colvin and Kess. As a note, I assume the four of you outside the ship were armed. Right now, both Jedi have lightsabers ignited. Given that Widget was doing the pre-flight sequence, Allerick and IG-MDz are outside the ship with no weapons drawn. Nobody has moved at this point either until Init comes up. That is how I intend on going into this round.
