Okay, I once worked up an organization whose aim was to bring order and goodness into the world. However, they set about doing it by deciding to kill everyone in the world. I know that the means were Chaotic Evil, but could they still claim to be Lawful Good because their goal was to promote a lawful good agenda?
They would either be NE or LE, in my opinion.
I would also say NE or LE . Well organized with a long term goal and well thought out plans do not say CE to me

Certainly they could claim, and really believe, they are LG.
They could publish manifestos and other propaganda that illustrates how and why they're LG; they could ignore people's arguments when fallacies in their assertions are pointed out to them. It's just like real life.
They could have a LE (it sounds more LE than NE) deity masquerade as a LG deity and grant spells and miracles to the clerics and "paladins."

Actualy they were worshipers of Bahaumat. I had a player who played a dragonborn and everything with hime was how superior Bahaumat was, and if it was the will of Bahaumat, it must be done. So after several complaints from other players, I created this group as an example of why blind faith is not a good thing.
