Finished watching Avatar tonight.

The story was average (not bad, but far from good) but the special effects really were something amazing to behold.

Getting ready for early Cubs baseball today, yeah, ohh good mornin' y'all

I still haven't seen it.

I'm looking forward to Iron Man 2 next week. My wife wants to see that and Kick Ass as a Mother's Day double feature. :)

I had asked what your dissertation was about (in broad strokes, of course). Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm going with a gnome druid. He'll most likely be intoxicated on berries.

Morning to all.

I liked it but it seemed really predictable to me. Did you (anyone in general) think so also?

Good choice! Avvy, that is. I assume you know your dissertation was a good choice. :)

I really want to see Iron Man 2. Scarlett Johansson *sizzles* in the previews.

Giggidy.

I want to see both of those movies but my wife doesn't. Add to that the friend I usually go to movies Mel doesn't want to see with has already seen both and it's looking like I'll either have to go by myself or miss them. :/

Yeah, it was relatively predictable. But then again it followed a straight forward plot sequence.

Have fun you all. I am off to meet Mr. Shiny for lunch. Please put in a few prayers for the poor man. Hopefully he has a little bit of sanity left after lunch. ~grins~

How are doing, Flash?

Sorry you might not have anyone to see the movies with. :(

Grats on the RPG payment.

Did you just send it in or did Steve ask you to do one? I didn't see an open call for it...

The joys of few real "friends".

It kinda grew out of my attempt to get the ongoing Evocative City Sites gig that Tarren Dei and Wicht ended up with. Steve liked the monsters for KQ and asked me to pitch a template.

You've got friends here. I realize that doesn't help when you're trying to go to the theater. :S

RPG Superstar 2012

Stopping for lunch. Back later.

Scarab Sages RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

I suppose I should head to bed since I have to be up in 4 hours and have some driving to do tomorrow.

Hope you're all feeling better than me. :/

Congrats Taig, couldn't have happened to a nicer badger. No really the other badgers are mean and can't even write.

Flash, I'll buy the movie tickets if you spring for the plane tickets. ;)

Hmm, Mother's day happens to fall 2 days after payday and I happen to have Sunday's off. Now, what to ask for, or do I let them decide on their own? Hubby is usually very good at the gift stuff. I suck at it though, he always knows what it is and 50 - 50 on whether or not he likes it.
Iron Man 2 will be out then, so maybe lunch out and see the movie together followed by a pedi and shopping at Kohl's by myself? Sounds kinda nice. :D

I wanna go!!! ;)

Sales are slow today but the cistomers spend FOREVER "just looking". :/

I want today to hurry up and get to 5pm. Store is making me sleepy and the coffee is just upsetting my tummy. Or maybe its lunch time and no one told my customers. :)

Liberty's Edge

Afternoon Fawtlies, how is everyone today? I hope the day has greeted everyone well.

Stupid 3 for 10$ sale on stupid DVD's, its all anyone buys when they come in to "just look"

Studpuffin wrote:

Depends on your definition of well.

I think I'm gonna bail. If these guys hurry up and choose something I can give the hubby a ring and chat with him for a few. You guys have a good one.

I do the same. I have yet to decide if its hope in the human creature or self-flagellation that leads me to do it.

Ya know, I should read more of this thread before I post. :\

Just trying to be cheerful anyway. I have to since I am running a game this evening and still don't feel prepared. I have my stats done, I know the plot, I know the NPCs... still, it feels like whatever I do is never enough to please. So I set my default mood to contented, at least *I* won't be disappointed.

Thanks, Moorluck! I keep trying to teach them how to write, but all they do is eat the pencils.

It is self-reaffirming at least. No matter how you say exactly the same things, they're exactly the same things.

Besides, maybe you'll get through to someone... even if they don't post that you've gotten through to them.

Not too bad. Got to watch my "nieces" play in their last soccer game. The team won, so they were excited. They played a great game.

I also got to tell them we will be living down the street from them very soon.

I have a party to go to tonight, a luau. It was supposed to be a bonfire party, but the rain killed that. Still, it should be a ton of fun.
