I'd prefer the hit points, especially with an INT based character. You have a ton of skill points already, IMHO.

Oh yes. I am the same way. A rogue in my RotRL campaign did HP every level and had a so-so INT. He has gone so against my grain doing so, but he is having lots of fun.
So to the OP: I concur, your playstyle and the style of your DM should influence this choice for you. :) How is that for a cop out answer?

I would say it depends alot on your DM's playstyle.
If he's the type to have you targeted alot by archers and/or have folks tumbling past the melee to lay the beatstick down on your wizard (and other such things) then you are probably better off taking the HP.
If on the other hand, the clothies in your campaigns tend to take little damage (whether because of Dm tactics or because of your own tactics) then the skill bonus can be very beneficial. While its true wizards get alot of skill points anyway- more skill points are always better. No matter what I end up playing there always seems to be one or two skills that i find myself wishing i had the points to squeeeeze in.
