Rangers & Firearms

Rules Questions

I have a quick question. Maybe my search-fu is not so good but...
Are Ranged Combat Feats applicable to Firearms?
If I play a Ranger and pick Combat Style Archery can those feats apply to his Firearms??

It doesn't say you have to sue a bow of any kind really, besides I think a dwarven or gnome ranger with a long rifle could be lots of fun ^^

Well that would be a decision for the GM since firearms are not normal in the core rules. But a lot of supplements have rules for the Ranger and firearms. The Tome of Secrets has a pretty good one with a Ranger combat style for firearms and rules on firearms, I personally like them.

Good luck with the reloading, that makes guns not worth it.

You should be allowed to use the feats, Looking at some of the feats in the core book they all say ranged weapon. So you could use the feats with a sling, bow, thrown dagger, or a fire arm if your DM allows them in the game.

Speaking of guns not being in the medieval-geared Pathfinder Core Rulebook...

...do you know of a book/website offereing a comprehensive list of items available in the different Progress Levels known in d20?

I am creating a gun carrying grenade tossing Ranger/Alchemist. I think that will be really fun!

We are playing in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting. So Alkenstar can make my rifle or pistol. They do have Firearms in Golarion. I will definitly ask the GM first though. Thanks.

That may be true if we were not playing in Golarion where you can get your hands on revolvers and multishot scatter guns! Rapid Reload here we come! I will make sure to ask the GM first. Thanks.

Yeah, the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting has rules on firearms as well, then there are other d20 books that have rules on firearms like Legend and Lair's Sorcerery and Steam and the Iron Kingdom books are just examples. But Tome of Secrets and Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting are more geared towards Pathfinder so those might be more of what you are looking for.

The Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting along with the Fantasy Firearm supplement are a great start for a gun-toting Alkenstarian!
