Unable to Download PDFs

Customer Service

I sent an e-mail to customer service and haven't had a response yet, but I'm currently unable to download any of my PDF files under My Downloads. They were working about a week ago, but I haven't been able to download any since. Of specific importance is the Pathfinder Society Guide, so if this issue could be addressed, I would appreciate it.

Many thanks.

After having downloaded and successfully opened the PDF from your account, the only suggestion I have for you is to ensure that your decompression and PDF reader utilities are fully up-to-date.

If, after updating these programs, you are still having troubles, I would suggest that you then try different decompression and PDF reader utilities.

If, after having completed these steps, you are still having issues with your PDF, please let me know. Please include a list of the decompression utilities and PDF utilities that you are currently using and have already tried. Thanks!
Most likely the problem stems from a setting in your decompression utility which prevents archives from creating subfolders. This archive unzips into a folder containing several PDFs that comprise the full magazine.

thanks,
Sara Marie

Also during high traffic times, the personal-izer can sometimes time out, and you have to refresh after personalizing to get a download link. have you tried this? Where exactly do you get to, does it not personalize? Not download after personalizing? not open after download? This information is important in troubleshooting issues like this.

Alright, here's what's happened (Same Person, just changed profile).

I tried downloading numerous downloading/unzipping programs (mostly one pertaining to Firefox, which is what I use). I was able to download everything on the page, including the small link for the playtests and character traits at the top of the downloads page, but was unable to download any of my PDF files. I tried opening them in new windows, personalizing and refreshing the page, and opening them with aformentioned Unzipping/Downloading clients, to no avail.

Edit: Just so you know, I get a message at the bottom of my window saying "waiting for remote1.paizo.com..."

1. Under the PDF you wish to download, if there is a purple "Personalize this file" click on it.

If it says "check back in a minute" give it a second and then refresh.
2. If the purple "Download this file (XXMB)" is there, then click on that.

If nothing is popping up to download, then there may be something in the internet options or in the OS's options that is preventing you from downloading PDF's. Make sure downloads are set to be downloaded to an easy to find location on your computer.

thanks,
Sara Marie

It sounds to me that the security settings somewhere (firewall, virus scan or pop-up blocker) got edited... did you download any new add-ons for firefox in between where it was working and when it wasn't(particularly toolbars which are notorius for having pop-up blockers hidden in the options) -or change these settings in any of your security programs?
