Fantasy dogs, that is.
Our newest PDF line of Pathfinder Compatible products will be Phantasia Zoologica and each release will focus on a single type of animal, listing different types or breeds of that particular animal. The primary theme animal will always be an actual real world animal – such as dogs, horses, cattle, cats, etc. – but numerous variants will be included within the product so that GMs and players have ready access to very different versions. The first release in the series, to be available in a few weeks, will be Phantasia Zoologica I: Dogs.
To read more about it, check out the latest edition of Whispering Wind, the 4WFG Weekly Journal on our Facebook fan page.

When is the Book of Chinchillas coming out?
And will it have stats for Magical Trevor?

In keeping with the animal theme. what might be more useful are PFRPG field guides to specific ecosystems.
Perhaps 4 Winds could put together the PFRPG Field Guide to Temperate Woodlands. This would contain "everyday" mammals, birds, reptiles fish insects etc for that type of wilderness. Write it like a Field Guide but include D&D type stats. Make up everyday animals that could give a DM flavor.
So instead of the party coming across deer or local fauna, the DM could have them eating red-bellied armadillos or arboreal rabbits. Some apex predators could challenge a lower level party and maybe even incoporate such things as owlbears
I would think that could be useful and fun to read

Something like that is something that has been discussed and considered, but there are no immediate plans for it right now.

Well, I'd buy it. of course, I spent nearly 20 years as a zoo volunteer so I have a particular interest
As for this series, horses would be useful. Especially for cavaliers and paladins

I'll take both books that focus on particular animals and ecosystem books. I'd love more mundane animal stats. Then do a couple of next-step slightly magical extensions to the regular animals. Some magical flora would be cool too.

While the bulk of the dogs, horses, etc. in this series will be mundane, each volume will include a handful of creatures that are Magical Beasts or something else other than Animal.

I was pretty unsure about this at 1st..but I really like the detail. All of these dogs are actually useful, and not just sticking new names on the same stats.
So what animals can we expect in the next release or two..?
Horses (including mules & donkeys) will be next in the series. After that, most likely will be cats (both domestic and wild).
I'm very glad you liked the dogs!
