I agree, although a $10 softcover is much easier to pick up than the $35 hardbacks of the previous edition. In this, I think they've made the right choice. I wonder how much material is in there that isn't on DDi? I would expect a decent chunk of the book to be background info.

Just picked it up and after reading about half of it I really like it.
A lot of the fluff should have been included in the players handbook to flesh out the 'new' race but that's MHO.
I look forward to more of these race books but WotC needs to speed up production if thay want a book for every player race before 5e comes out in about 5 to 6 years, hopefuly longer.
