Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So, I have a request for three druid-related feats.

1.) A feat that allows animal companions to increase in size as they level. Basically, a feat that will actually allow an elephant (or other similarly-sized animal) to grow to the Huge size category.

2.) A feat that allows druids to take vermin as companions.

3.) A feat that allows druids to take ooze companions. I know this feat already exists, but I wasn't sure if it was made by the time official rules were released.

Any help would be appreciated.

Vermin Heart (to treat vermin as animals for abilities) and Vermin Companion are in the Campaign Setting.

You could use them as a base for your own Ooze Companion feat (though I'm sure there already is something like that somewhere for d20)

I'm not sure about the huge companion, though: Those sizes can be a problem for an adventurer, and there's balance to consider, too.

There's a spell that allows this, though. Animal Growth(Druid 5).

If you want to create such a feat (and remember that you will probably miss out on the companion action quite a lot, since a huge critter cannot squeeze through a 5 foot opening or corridor), I recommend that the feat only works if the base animal in question is at least huge and your druid level is at least twice as much as it has to be for the critter to advance to that size (i.e. elephant: Starts medium, gets large at 7th, can be enhuged at 14th).

I think the correct term is embiggen.

Thank you.

Do you know what book "vermin heart" is in?
And I can see the problem with having such a huge companion and I understand its handicap with not
being able to squeeze through small areas. Then again, if the elephant wanted inside bad enough it could just smash through and make an area larger than 5 feet.
That's what elephants do.

Vermin Heart and Vermin Companion are in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting. Now technically this is still a 3.5 book, but the feats work just fine as Pathfinder RPG feats.

That's for size colossal.
