nothing to do with this, but i wanted to get something off my chest
I recently, on a recommendation from several gym friends, registered to use a gym/weightlifting forum, because it had "good motivational" threads - ie, you post your progress towards whatever goal, and people post encouraging advice. i specifically asked if it was in any way "dodgy", and was told not (lots of gym boards are, lets be honest, little more than people selling semi-legal substances)
so, i register, and post my thread
the thread started after mine someone says something like
"I have been using steroids at my gym for a few months now, but some blood-tests i had done showed light liver damage. i know steroids cause liver damage - should i stop using them"
to which I replied
"internet diagnosis is always questionable - this is a conversation you should have with the doctor diagnosing the results of the liver tests. I assume you told him what you were taking, so he had the full picture"
to which i recieved nothing but flames in reply.
even worse, all his OTHER replied were "no, go on using them - but change from oral to injected"
not unsupprisingly, i've deleted my profile!
are there ANY gym/weightlifting forums not full of steroid-users (they are controlled drugs FOR A REASON)
much as i want to gain muscle, liver damage, shrunken "personal" parts, manboobs, mood-swings and, oh, prostate cancer, are a price i'm not willing to pay!

When it comes to good, down-to-earth exercise and weight-lifting sites, I heartily recommend checking out Scooby's Workshop - Home Bodybuilding Workouts site.
Scooby is a very knowledgeable guy, he makes some great videos (albeit sometimes slightly silly when Hans the garden gnome is involved) and his site is full of good, and NATURAL, advice for everyone, from beginners to experienced gym rats.
You can find all his videos on YouTube too.
But you were also asking for a forum, so check out his Ask Scooby forum too.
