The character I have in mind is a dwarf deeply dedicated to traditional dwarven values. One raised away from Janderhoff, but not in a human community. She is obsessed with her dwarven heritage and trying to be a "proper" dwarf. Visiting Janderhoff would be one of the highlights of her life when it does happen.
So I'm looking for some isolated dwarven camp or mine. Maybe one near the Lost Coast. Anybody ideas about that?

Janderhoff is the largest concentration of Dwarves in Varisia, actually. I believe Janderhoff is actually one of the sky citadels from which the dwarven nations first emerged from the Darklands back in the day, in fact.
So there are more dwarves in Janderhoff then in the five kings mountain range or is there just more in Janderhoff then any single other community?

Janderhoff is the biggest dwarf city in Varisia... not in the Inner Sea Region. Varisia itself is only a part of this region.
The Five Kings Mountains themselves are the biggest dwarf nation in the Inner Sea Region; there's CERTAINLY more dwarves there than in all of Varisia.

Why not go with a small mining village that isn't on the map? Maybe there was a couple families that wanted to strike out on there own in some other mountainous area? There's gold in them there hills don't you know?
