It’s winter! Time for a cold spell!
Of all the damage types, fire and lightning seem to get all the best coverage. Maybe it’s because fireball and lightning bolt are quantum leaps forward in the offensive arsenals of low-level sorcerers and wizards, or just that there’s a limited amount of space in any core rulebook, that an idea like an Ice cleric domain or a Cold wizard specialty that’s separate from the more material idea of elemental water is overlooked. But that doesn’t explain their absence from rules expansions? Why are there so few new options to keep characters in the cold?
The Genius Guide to Ice Magic aims to fix that by presenting new cold and ice spells (including at least one spell for every level), and a broad range of new class options designed to help spellcasters who want to focus on the magic of cold and ice.

Hyrum...
Just curious. Is there some particular reason that sometimes a PDF mentions or not mentions the page count? I feel like a broken record asking from time to time, but I just wondered...
Nevertheless, I do give kudos to SGG for keeping the prices quite affordable in comparison to others based on similar volumes. \m/
Would be cool to see a desert related one as well that you could plug and play even in a setting like Dark Sun or LPJ's upcoming Obsidian Twilight.
That reminds me, anyone up for a defiler caster class equivalent?

I have no idea why or why not the page count shows or doesn't. Ice Magic is 10 pages, one of which is the Credit/OGL page.

Thanks! One of our goals is to continue to provide low cost PDFs that appeal to the market and it looks like we're succeeding.

Well you are with me. My morning cup of coffee cost more then this product, took longer for me to buy, and was enjoyed for a much shorter period of time. At this rate im going to have 2 binders at the table. One for genius guides and one for everything else.
I like this product, i always felt there were not enough cold spells. And I love that they are not just cold versions of existing spells. They are all however quite interesting and seem useful. I love the idea of scrying on someone with an ice mirror and dropping an avalanch on them. I could see an evil frost wizard holding whole regions hostage with such a spell, driving an entire adventure as the players travel through the wilderness to challenge him (harrased by avalanches now and then just to get the point across).

I can easily see a GGT Desert Magic. Heat and sand have a lot of room for cool spell ideas, even if Fire has gotten good coverage.

I think that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said!

Like many SGG, this one grew directly out of comments from one of my Pathfinder RPG campaigns. I know a lot of game writers produce material for games they've never played, but my -best- ideas always come from thoughts and realizations in play.

Well, I was also thinking along the line with the defiler comment I mentioned about cannibalizing for resources to satisfy a material component. Given sand, wind could make an appearance. I'd have to check out this release you guys put out and look back at Sandstorm and see what shakes out.

I just got this today, and boy I´m happy with my purchase. I have a player who is gonna flip when he sees thaat ice weapon spell (for his sorcerer).
I gotta give kudos to you guys, I have very little gaming money (freaking money exchange rate down here), but 2 bucks is something anyone can afford.
Music to my ears, thanks Frerezar for the wonderfully nice comment.

The odd thing is that while the link works, and indeed I bought it there via the link in the notification email sent to your previous customers, the priduct doesn't show up in the new releases list or on your company's page on DrivethruRPG. The most recent file visible from you is the Hot Rods pdf.
Maybe you should check with DrivethruRPG over what's happening.

This is the case for me too; it's why I thought it hadn't been released over there yet. I couldn't find it by searching the OtherWorld Creations storefront, nor by doing a keyword search for it.

Yeah, I complained and it looks like they fixed it. :)
Well, if it managed to make it to number 4 without anything but your notification email and the link here, it ought to do really well now that customers can find it without needing to be given the link.

Our hope is to keep our products priced low enough that they can start as impulse buys ... but fill them with such high quality material that they become "must haves." Seriously, you should EASILY be able to find $2 of poachable material in ANY of our products. And products where you find MOST of the material useful turn out to be just that much more of a bargain!

This product ROCKS!
I am just starting to play in a Norse Style PbP and as soon as I saw this I grabbed it (as I have done with all your other products). It has been my favourite to date and the second I saw the Frost Bloodline there was no question that that was the character I wanted to play. GRATS guys! :D
