Council of Thieves

Scarab Sages

So I see potential in making this encounter much more memorable then a bunch of midlevel monks.

Given that Eiseth is considered a being that can confer divine powers (PF Chronicles: Princes of Darkness), it would make sense to have a cleric of her, if only because its one of the only times it would make perfect sense.

Also, testing out the new prestige class Diabolist, would be interesting. It could make sense in the way that they summon small fiends through lesser planar ally to give donations to Eiseth and the cause of Eriynes, in an effort to increase their standing and possibility of becoming Eriynes themselves.

I'm thinking
Cleric of Eiseth 7/Diabolist 1
domains of evil and war

she'd come with an imp as well, 'cause of the diabolist level.

I'd lower the rest of the encounter to not overwhelm the players. Make the monks level 3 instead of 4 (no ki pool, so lower AC and no extra attack), dump the poison, and make the fire elemental medium instead of large.

Because of the picture, I also want to change that MW light crossbow to MW shuriken, symbols of Asmodeus.

Any comments or suggestions for a DM on her first campaign?

I think it sounds pretty cool. Fighting a variety of foes is usually more memorable then just a dozen of whatever that you plowed through.

For clerics though it is very important to figure out when she will become aware of the PCs and thus how many rounds she will have for buffing herself and her allies.

A surprised cleric is usually a dead cleric.

Also don't under-estimate Channel Negative Energy, and keep in mind if it will hit her allies...or if she cares.
