Caelwyn:
The amulet is silent, perhaps its power is unable to penetrate the pouch in which it is sealed.

Okay, what's the plan?

I think the plan is to head back to the Venture-captain at this point.

The Pathfinders make their way through the tunnel at the rear of the cavern, coming out onto the narrow trail up to the top of the sea-side cliff. Carrying Alerion is tricky with so little room to manoeuvre, but they eventually reach the top.

The street that the Pathfinders have climbed up to is slick with mud, and the buildings across from the cliff are dingy and in ill-repair. There are few people on the street, and those that are present are mostly concerned with reaching their destinations. The cave below is virtually invisible, concealed by the overhanging cliff edge.

Caelwyn:
It seems that you've emerged into the Puddles, one of he poorest districts in Absalom, and one prone to heavy flooding. By heading north, you should find yourself in the more familiar surroundings of the Foreign Quarter from where it would be simple to return to the Grand Lodge... if that is what you wanted to do. After all, now that you have the amulet you could abandon the Pathfinder Society—what use are they to you now?
Sovereign Court

Male Elf Bard 2

"Ahh, the smell of Puddles in the morning." He winks at the group, "I believe if we head north we should find the Foreign Quarter, and be on our way to the Lodge." Then, Caelwyn chuckles, "Very cute, 'Lord Corgan'" He scoffs at the title, and walks north with a grin on his face.

"Let us be off, then!"

Sovereign Court

The walk back to the Grand Lodge is a long one, but equally uneventful. It isn't long before you find yourself waiting once more for Adril Hestram in a meeting room not unlike the one in which you where assigned your task.

Caelwyn:
"Gah!" Lord Corgan's booming voice sounds within your head, "your mind may be too strong for me to influence, but go ahead and turn the amulet over to your precious Society! Let us just see how long it takes for some foolish, overconfident scholar to find it!"

Sovereign Court

Caelwyn snorts derisively as he looks down to the pouch he carries. Carefully untying the thing he opens the string and dumps the amulet out onto the table in front of Adril, grinning. "We brought you a present. I would advise that you store it securely. It doesn't want to stay here."

Sovereign Court

"Hah! Excellent!" the looming venture captain booms, scooping up the amulet with a wide grin, "how's Maren?"

Adril narrows his eyes for a moment, then smiles as he raises the amulet over his head, as though about to place it around his neck. Suddenly he lets out a laugh as he lowers his hands and rattles the amulet around on its chain, "thought ye had me didn't you? Stupid spirit!"

Sovereign Court

Caelwyn reaches up to pinch the bridge of his nose, pained by Adril's display of 'humor.' "Seemed fine the last time we saw him, but I was concerned of what his thoughts might be if we refused to return the amulet. And so here we are. Perhaps a facsimile could be fashioned and sent back?"

Sovereign Court

"No need! No need!" Adril booms cheerily, slamming the amulet roughly onto the table, "this old thing has gone forgotten for decades, Maren agreed to let us keep it in exchange for our help covering up his little mishap."

"Will you be requiring any further services from us?"

Sovereign Court

"No, no" Adril replies, "that'll be all. Thank you for your work, but don't go bragging about this, I told Maren that we'd keep this to ourselves."

Anything else you'd like to do before we finish?

Yep, all done.

Levistus seems pleased with the outcome and to be out of the sewers, "Caelwyn, if you would be so kind to accompany me back to the academy to retrieve my belongings I would appreciate the company."

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Bard 2

Looking to Levistus, "Ah, right... of course." Turning back to Adril and making a short bow, "Good day, sir." Then motions to Levistus, that he will follow

hey guys, sorry for the delay. i was in a bike accident monday afternoon and my left arm/hand are mostly out of commission for about 2 weeks. typing is a fairly laborious process and writing is out of the question as i am left handed. fortunately it seems that this game is about done but i will not be able to start another until i have recovered. i would be willing to run one at that point but i understand if you guys want to get started before then.

No worries Mike, I've already stepped up in the OOC thread to DM...(Now is a good time for me) maybe you could take the next turn?

Depending on how things move here, I'm thinking about starting the next module sometime next week(or later, whenever is fine...). I would definitely be willing to DMPC your character until you are ready to jump back in if necessary. Hope your injury heals well!

As Olomorn relaxes at the end of the day, preparing for bed, he notices that some of his wounds are swelling in an unsettling way.

By the forge! I hope I haven't come down with some damned disease...."

Olo will go to bed and hope he can shake this off. If he wakes up in the morning worse for wear, he will look for someone who can heal/cure diseases...

Sovereign Court

Can you make a fortitude save vs. Disease please.

Fort save = 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Ouch....

Sovereign Court

That'll be 1d3 ⇒ 3 Dex damage, and 1d3 ⇒ 3 and Con damage.
