-The goblin starts stalking the group members, becoming enamored with them and what they stand for. He comes up with excuses to go with them on even the shortest trips, and continuously asks to join them.
-The goblin is being held captive by the sheriff. He didn't do anything, but it's suspected he was involved in the raid, and hasn't been able to convince therm otherwise. The sheriff might stick the Sandpoint goblin with the characters and ask apologetically for them to keep him under control.
-The goblin is accidentally locked outside the town and finds Venmirl or the other group and begs to be let back in. He is convinced the incident was intentional.
I think I like the second one best. Especially since the characters were already planning on visiting the sheriff. The first one will probably end up as too confrontational (i.e. Why are you following us?). And about the third one, I don't think that locking the town's only gate could keep a single goblin out, especially if that goblin is a rogue.
What I wonder is how your goblin left his tribe (or whatever) and how he came to be somewhat accepted and able to stay in town.

There isn't a law against it per se but goblins have been a trouble in the region for years. A lot of Sandpoint residents hate or are afraid of them. The goblins in the junkyard are mostly ignored (parents often tell their kid not to go there however) but they would frown at having one in the street and might ask the sheriff to run him out of town (or worse). The recent raid only makes this worse.

Hmm. Good point. How about this: He simply managed to avoid those who tried to hunt him down, thanks to his impressive Stealth. After all, it may be unlikely that much effort would be spent on one goblin (though I could be wrong), so it's not so far-fetched. I'm thinking that either the sheriff gave up, or just hasn't managed to catch him yet.
Up until now, of course. Either the sheriff decided to try again and succeeded, or he was caught during the raid.| Kobold Catgirl |
Yes, that would make sense. You probably had to run and/or hide from a guard a few times but, after the raid, they finally caught your character because they really wanted to and many of them worked together to do so.
That sounds reasonable. So should I work out a bit more of the character and then show you what I've got, or what?

Belated response on my part but sure, go ahead.
Also, sorry Yucale, but we're now full with the addition of Kobold Cleaver.
Edit: I think we should probably continue this in the dicussion thread, here.
