Is there a third party anything out there that has a Gunslinger type of prestige class? With Pathfinder allowing firearms (though not to a large degree I know) my wife actually had a concept in mind but there really doesn't seem to be a good way to make using a gun as a primary means of damaging viable. Thought about converting arcane archer to allow firearms as well but I wanted to see if there was one around.

Fighter with a ton of ranged combat feats and you could probably accomplish something similar and more sinister with the rogue class. If you need stats on guns, and can find a copy, then Dragon #321 had a great article featuring a number of different fire arms and firing mechanisms listed to match the different time periods.
Unfortunatly I dont know of any third party stuff featuring firearms

The Pathfinder Campaign setting had some firearms similar to whats in that magazine (I have the copy) and a gunslinger feat but with the limited shots per round thingy, not sure how it's worthwhile.

fighter is your best bet really, or a Rogue built for ranged and able to feint folks. 30' feet seems a good rang for the "gunslinger" type and the skills would allow you to take the skills needed to care for/repair your gun
The gunslinger does not work till ya get revolvers really. A tech that's outside most d20 based fantasy games. But the frontiersmen/ musketeer ya can do easy enough
edit: if ya have a revolver, rapid shot and TWF help with the feel of a gunslinger

There's the Iron Kingdoms Character Guide which has rifleman and pistoleer prestige classes. Expensive PDF though.

Done and done
I should say that I went to a used book store in Nashville the other day out of hopes to find something good. The very book I had hoped to find I DID, which was the Iron Kingdoms Character Guide.
As of now my wife is looking between a Pistoleer using two revolvers or a Gunmage.
Either way, this stuff is REALLY cool. Some of the stuff takes a little conversion based on Pathfinder's revolvers taking a move action to reload a bullet per chamber where as Iron Kingdoms has to make Craft checks, but I think it'll all work out.
I'm all up for hearing any more neat stuff out there though.
