Hi all, I've been out of town quite a bit lately. The next 2 weeks are also going to be very busy for me as well. I'm not getting much time to work on the sheet. I am slowly starting to input some APG material, but I would suspect that January is likely the time that it will be all implemented by. On the plus side I do have several days off in December and I am not going anywhere.

I must confess I've not checked every page of this thread, and I think it might have already been said, but I found a bug (or something else which makes problems) : when I try to choose the Draconic Bloodline for a Sorcerer, I get a "Run-time Error '13'".
To be noted: I use Office 2011 on a Mac!

Btw, this Sheet is a dream made Excel Page for me! Thanks a lot, Kor!

Allow me to add to that sentiment.

The sheet is awesome. It runs slow on my netbook, but it's good enough that the slowness doesn't bother me.

One thing I would like very much, if it's possible, is to get a cut-down version of the sheet that is items only, separated from any character. A means to quickly create a set of items (say, for loot or something) and get the total and a nice printable loot page. How simple would that be to create?

Shadow Lodge

Really like the sheet, well done and thanks :)

I have had some difficulties with the recent release and the way the summary page displays after adding certain types of armour. The rest is great and it calculates fine on the character sheet except the movement. Not sure if it is me or the sheet, but it seems to work fine with light armour types.

Looking forward to the APG classes, but be sure to enjoy your holiday.

Just wanted to add my thanks for a really great charactersheet. Very handy and configureable.

Kor, you are the man! Let me also put a +1 to the addition of templates. I use these sheets a lot when I'm converting modules from 3.5 to Pathfinder, and am converting the big baddies. Currently I am working through Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, and having the ability to apply Vampire and Lycanthrope templates would be awesome! Keep up the good work Kor! I look forward to every update you put out :)

The Exchange

This sheet has been a great help, keeping my character organized, keep up the great work.

I did however notice that with the Campaign feat Sable Company Marine it does not allow you to select a Hippogriff as an animal companion selection. I have 5 levels of ranger and 1 level of fighter, and i have selected Curse of the Crimson Throne as my campaign setting under the traits tab. am i doing something wrong?

Hi all, I'm still working away in the background. I haven't had much time to review / reply to posts yet... but I will soon. Please don't think I am ignoring you :) (The same goes for the e-mail I have received).

Any one tried Kor's sheet with Office 2k10 for Mac? They were supposed to have reintroduced macros, and code, so it might work?

I get the below error in VB
Run Time Error '13':
Type mismatch

when selecting Draconic Bloodline in the levels page for a 1st level sorc....debug pulls up this:

Private Sub Worksheet_Calculate()
If Range("FO12").Value = 0 And Not IsEmpty(Range("FO12")) Then
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Page2+").Visible = xlSheetHidden
Else
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Page2+").Visible = xlSheetVisible
End If
End Sub

This is just a question, but how about the Anti-Paladin? Not sure which sourcebook that one is from.

Scarab Sages

Kor couple questions for you which may be problems -

1) lev 10 sorceror with arcane bloodline taking familiar cat - it shows the familiar as having 2 skill pts available. I didnt think familiars got skills pts they just got the normal animal skills as listed in the bestiary or the masters whichever was better. Even if they do as soon as I enter the 2 skill pts eg. knowledge planes, the skill points available actually goes up to 4 and does the same again if I enter points into any of the skills in your sheet.

2) from the way I read the rules the saves for the cat with a lev 10 sorceror master still calculates wrong - it is showing as fort 2 ref 5 will 8 - I believe it should be fort 4 ref 7 will 8. My reasoning is as follows but correct me if you think I am wrong. the corebook says
"For each saving throw, use either the familiar’s base save bonus (Fortitude +2, Ref lex +2, Will +0) or the master’s (as calculated from all his classes), whichever is better." I have always assumed the cat starts off at lev 1 with fort 2 ref 2 will 2 then you add bonuses as you level so at lev 2 it is fort 2 ref 2 will 3 then at lev 3 it becomes fort 3 (initial 2 plus sorc 1) ref 3 (initial 2 plus sorc 1)will 3. You also add the familiars ability bonuses to saves as well. so at level 10 you get
fort 4 (initial 2 + sorc 3 + con -1)
ref 7 (initial 2 + sorc 3 + dex 2)
will 8 (initial 2 + sorc 5 + wis 1)

Am I correct or have I been doing this wrong

Not sure if it was just me, but I couldnt find weapon finese as a feat...

I did a couple feat fixes. Please let me know if you are still encountering this error after the next revision.

Thanks.

Doctadud wrote:

when taking the skill focus feet i noticed a miscalculation. it was fine at lower levels giving the +3 bonus, but once i had 10 ranks in the skill it jumped to a +9 bonus instead of the +6 it should be at.

I don't know much about excel but i would think it would be an easy fix for you.

I did a few fixes on the skills table and this appears to be working fine now. Please let me know if you continue to see this problem after the next version.

G'day Kor,

are you likely to have any updates in the next 24 hrs?
or is there nothing to update except for apg stuff

Cee

Well... sorry for the delayed reply...

I am hoping to have an update out before this weekend.

Lex Talinis wrote:
I'm sure your aware (or maybe not, I didn't see a post about it) but gems aren't showing up on the printed pages.

I have done a quick fix for now, displaying the gems next to the coins, however this only allows for about 5 gems to appear.

I am going to re-work Page 4, removing Animal Companions and Familiars (they will have their own page) and then this will give me extra room for more equipment, and to expand the notes area.

Lex Talinis wrote:
Along the lines of custom things, is there any way to do custom domains (and have the domain spell list and ability show up on the list of options)?

I have been working on custom domains, but have run into a few issues. I'm sure I will be able to work through them, but right now time is a precious commodity I don't have. These likely won't be working for this weekend's revision, but should be working in a following revision.

Hi Kor,

I am running a cleric in Legacy of Fire and have picked the Achievement Feat Healer's Touch. In the sheet this is not a choice under feats. Was wondering if this correct? Thanks for all great work.

I currently have not added in those feats. I will likely in the future after all the APG is done... so that's a ways off. Sorry for the long delay, but I must confess that these feats felt more like World of Warcraft inspired and less like D&D inspired, so I have really put them on the low priority list. But, none-the-less, they will be included... but likely by the time they are your campaign will be over :(

Bard - I made a 1st level bard and no spells are comming up on the spell list.

Cleric - there is no option to get selective channeling for a level 1 charatcer even with the appropriate prerequirements
Ranger- Is the Boon companion feat available for hunters in your sheet yet. It is in the Seekers of Secrerets book pg 16. I tested a Ranger up to level 5 and it did not come up as an option.

Bard - fixed

Cleric - fixed
Ranger - sorry, this feat is not currently available

Unfortunately I don't currently have the time to do such. In some respects it wouldn't be too hard, however the way I have structured one of my items data pages is a bloody mess. Someday I do hope to restructure it, which would then allow me to easily accomodate such a request.

I have completely rebuilt the movement calculations now, and I am certain they will calculate correctly now. (I have only done this for land movement, so other forms may not be 100% correct).

Could you please advise what difficulties you were noticing for the armor display.

The feat is a 3.5 feat and the Hippogriff is not in the Bestiary, so I didn't include it. I do like this feat though, so I have crunched together a Pathfinder Hippogriff, until it makes its debut in Bestiary 2. I added these stats with this animal in the sheet.

*------------------------------------*
====== Status Update =======
*------------------------------------*

I have not had a lot of time to work on this sheet lately, so sorry for the slowness in addressing the reported errors.

Currently I am giving 99% of my attention to inputing the APG material:

- all spells have been entered (have to convert the long descriptions to short descriptions)
- all feats have been entered (have to code the benefits and the pre-requisites -- this will need to wait until all the classes have been entered)
- Alchemist class features have been entered, however I will need to create entries for the alchemist's recipe book, similar to how I did the wizard's spell book
- Halfway through entering the Cavalier features

I am hoping to have all the new classes input by January. The class variant features will likely take another month.

I should have a new revision available for this weekend to address all reported errors.

On a side note, I appreciate all the comments that have been posted the last month. A friend of mine at our last gaming session also thanked me for my 1000+ hours of work that saved him 20 minutes to create his character :)

Whoops. I had some +'s where there should be some -'s. All fixed. It is currently unknown what the official ruling is on whether you gain skill points or not. So, as my general rule of thumb in this sort of situation, whatever Herolabs' sheet does, I do the same. If you haven't already, I encourage you (and anyone else reading) to please increase the tally of my FAQ's in the errata thread: Here

I believe you have been doing it wrong :)

Basically there are 2 main adjustments:

Base Save (greater of the Cat's or the Sorcerer's)
Ability Mod

So for a level 10 Sorcerer's familiar the following would apply:

Fort: +2
- Base Save: +3 (Greater of: Cat Familiar +2 or Level 10 Sorcerer Master +3)
- Ability Mod: -1 (Con 8)

Ref: +5
- Base Save: +3 (Greater of: Cat Familiar +2 or Level 10 Sorcerer Master +3)
- Ability Mod: +2 (Dex 15)

Will: +8
- Base Save: +7 (Greater of: Cat Familiar +0 or Level 10 Sorcerer Master +7)
- Ability Mod: +1 (Wis 12)

As indicated in the rule section you quoted, you do not add the familiar's BAB to the master's:
"For each saving throw, use either the familiar’s base save bonus (Fortitude +2, Ref lex +2, Will +0) or the master’s (as calculated from all his classes), whichever is better."

Hi all, sorry for the delay in the next update. There were a few errors being generated in the sheet, which I have been chasing down.

I have now added all the APG spells into the sheet now, and have finished adding the Alchemist, Cavalier and Inquisitor.

Revision soon to be posted...

Hi,

I'm creating a Rouge and at 10th level under Rouge Talents, I choose from the Advanced Talents list skill mastery in the next cell it gives me *Type5 skills into the blank cell* as the choice. I am presuming that a list of skills should be there instead. Thanks.

Unfortunately, since I designed the sheet to only take up to 3 user selections, I could not think of any other way to work in skill mastery, since the amount of selections is 3 + Int Modifier. The only way I could see to get this to work, was to just have the user type in all the skills. (In the blank cell, just type in the skills, seperated by a comma).

It was not my prefered way to do this, but due to some of Excels limitations, it was the only way I could really do this.

Hi Kor,

Was just working with the ey sheet and adding an Elementalist Wizard and was adding a custom spell of Level 0 and it doesn't show up on the Select Spells page. This functionality does work for 1st level spells, but not for the cantrips.

Thanks.

Confirmed what Sethvir said above...

and just to be extra pushy...when do you think the updated sheet will be posted?

Liberty's Edge

Just wanting to say to Kor, Merry Christmas if you celebrate the holiday. If you don't, then may December 25th be a joyous for you as it is for me!

In about 2 hours :)

I was trying to get Oracle completed... but there's just so much work involved on this class, so I am just going to release the first 3 APG classes for now.
