Runecurse - CR? -- *spoilers*

So, the Runecurse Sian plants for the PCs, it doesn't say what its CR is. I would normally consider this a trap, particularly since Sian didn't cast it. If the PCs go around the curse by removing it, shouldn't they get XP for it?

"Story Award: If the PCs defeat Sian by turning the
runecurse back on her, award them XP for defeating Sian
and an additional award of 3,200 for escaping the runecurse
itself in such an ironic manner."

This addresses defeating Sian and using the runecurse in an "ironic manner", but doesn't mention what they get for bypassing the curse.

Do they get the XP of defeating Nyxervex if they just remove curse?

I'm running CoT right now, and I'm wondering what the CR for removing that curse would be. The adventure states that attempts to remove it are at -5, but not what the base save to remove it would be.

Never mind. Found the answer. Turns out it's DC 16

I guess they receive the XP for defeating the Devil, you could award the same XP if they remove it....

I´m running it right now and I´m facing the same desition
