Quick Formula for Converting 3.5 to PF in Mods?

Other than adjusting for CMBs and CMDs, how accurate are the skill crossovers, and other mechanics - so if somebody has a Jump of 15, is there a simple way to translate that into acrobatics etc. - looking for a list of 5-8 things that must happen to make an accurate conversion - I would like to do it with Shackled City...

I don't have it handy to confirm this, but ... what about Paizo's free 3.5 to Pathfinder conversion PDF? I think it would be a pretty good place to start at least for something like this ...

Well, I'm not certain what exactly your asking. The mechanics work very similarly. The over all number of skill has gone down slightly, but rogues are really the only ones that notice that much. Maybe Rangers and Monk's, but pretty minor, I think.

As far as the system, essentually instead of having 4 ranks in skills you should be good at, you have 1 Rank with a +3 for being trained in it, (still total of +4 without stats or feats, etc. . .).

The DC's don't change, much, and the real difference is that it is easier for someone that is trained in a skill that they shouldn't be to accomplish a task. For example, a Cleric taking Bluff (as what was a cross-class skill). Said Cleric has Cha +2, 1 Rank of Bluff, and no other modifiers. (Said Cleric Int + 1, has a total of 3 skill points, and used 1 to max out Bluff for a total +3 mod).

In 3.5, same Cleric has Cha +2, Max 2 ranks, and no other modifiers, but spent 4 times the skill points for it. (This cleric has 12 skill points and used 4 of them to max out Bluff for a total +4 mod).

Good stuff, thanks. This is along the lines of what I was looking at - an overall simple summary of the expressive differences, not necessarily all the mechanics like skill architecture...thanks.

Thanks already read it, again not looking for mechanics input. Your answer above was helpful. I am taking Shackled City and attacking the first part of it, and I am going through the stat blocks, vetting and revising.

Ok, I see what your saying. To be honest, I think was your familiarized with the PF skills, (like Perception vs Spot, Listen, Search) you really don't need to convert over as much as just use the one that looks right. Don't make it overly complicated, because the players are not going to know anyway. Additionally, because everyone but clerics gets 3 or more feats over 20 levels, so if the skills are that off, give them skill focus, or the other skill related feats.

You can either use statblocks as it is (substitute 3.5 skills for PF skills) or rebuild from scratch. Whatever rocks your boat :)
