I am a player in the age of worms adventure game my current DM is running.
We are all trying greyhawk for the first time so it's new for all of us.
I am thinking of takeing the landlord feat from the Stronghold builders guide and then getting the leadership feat to go with it.
My question is would these feats have any impact on the game? Can I use them to progress the story in a positve manner or would they be wasted?
As a unrelated question are the faithful of vecna open about their faith or not? My wizard is a follower of the lich lord and I need to know if the other churches in the area of diamond lake are able to do anything to me or not? I'm used to the realms where anything goes and dont know greyhawk.

Am I correct that you are just starting? (character creation, not yet adventuring). I don't think the feat or the backstory is going to ruin the campagin, but you do need to collaborate with your DM on the character background so as not to run into some major problems later in the story arc.
The darkest religion openly practicing in Diamond Lake is Wee Jas. How the other faiths (Cuthbertons are plentiful) would react to an openly-practicing Vecnan may depend on the whims of your DM rather than any hard-and-fast norms in the Greyhawk campaign setting.

Leadership might be useful. Owning a piece of land probably not as much. But ask your DM about it.
A faithful of Vecna will run into trouble if this is publicly known. That said, maybe your DM has other ideas about it, but it would be an invitation for trouble in my game. Vecna isn´t called the Lord of Secrets for nothing. I´d rather recommend Wee Jas as well - magic and death as her portfolio draws shady types as well.

I am Dming AoW for a second time. I dont know what the landlord feat does, but if it gives you land that you are supposed to focus on then it is not worth taking. The leadership feat is only needed when the party need another party member, but does not want to share XP. The thing that should be kept in mind is that you should have to keep the NPC equipped, and when your cohorts die it affects your leadership rating.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone. I wont bother with the landlord feat but I may take leadership so we can have a cleric in the party. Last one died during the elevator trap and the player brought in a berbarian/fighter so we could have a meat sheil for the rest of us. The druid really isnt much of a healer he likes to sneak, and summon stuff(the player is teriffied or his charecter takeing damage)the ninja/psion and my wizard. so we are really lite on healing at the momment. Thanks again for the advice everyone.

The Landlord feat grants the character gp explicitly for building a stronghold. Pretty useless for AoW, as there is very little "as written" down time.
The cohort from Leadership can be handy - but your group is in serious trouble relying on a cleric 2 levels lower than the party's level as the primary source of healing, especially since the group has to equip this cleric out of pocket.
You might want to consider a Bard with Item Creation feats and (quickly) establishing a permanent telepathic bond to share the information that a Bard can generate from Knowledge checks without having to endanger the squishy cohort. Character sends image to bard via link, one round later bard replies with the results of the Knowledge checks.
If you bring the Bard along, you have decent healing ability and excellent additional 'buffing' paired up with the Bard's formidable Knowledge skills.
I am presuming that you are in a PRPG version of AoW - 3.5 is a lot rougher for AoW as written...
