Why do sorcerers have spell slots per day for their cantrips when they don't even use up spell slots? With wizards, I can understand: You prepare which cantrips you want to use for the day and they never empty out of their respective slots until you re-prepare spells. With spontansoue casters, however, I can't make heads or tails of why their is anything other than a "-" in the 0-level column of the spells per day chart.

Sorcerer's don't have a spells per day slot for 0th level spells... they do have a spells known spot for it though. They know that many cantrips and can use them an unlimited number of times per day... maybe you have your charts confused?

Ah! I was looking at the 1st-level column and thinking it was a 0-level column! Thank you.
