What about the other Runelords (SPOILER)

Rise of the Runelords

SPOILER ALERT for ROTR

OK, so Kerzoug is the Runelord of Greed.

Have any of the other Runelords survived?

I remember reading in one of the threads that there are at least 2, and one is under Korvosa???

Anyway, any idea if any other ruleords survived and if so, where the book references to them are?

I think Paizo never clarified this

IIRC, they state in the Runelords material - last module I think - that *all* of the other Runelords survived the destruction of Thassilon just like Karzog did, through the use of their own 'escape hatch' plans. Check 'Spires of Zin-Shalast' and see if it's there. They mention how several of the others survived and await awakening.

Sorshen, the Runelord of Lust has her escape pod at the end of Curse of the Crimson Throne. It is hinted that her Runewell was 'stirred' by Ileosa's use of the pool.

Zutha, the Runelord of Gluttony had his contingency plan embodied in a tripartite artifact detailed in the Magic of Thassilon web enhancement Paizo did about the end of RotRL.

The other four I am not sure of off the top of my head other than having survived the fall of Thassilon.

After reading this I decieded to include Zutha in my RotRL campaign. Through a series of side treks early on I am going to give the PC's a Shiedron Medallion made of bone and a piece of the Phylactry in a magically sealed puzzle box. The medallion will have anyone wearing it connecting to Zutha's glutonious dreams. The puzzle box will be impossible to open untill the PC's are of a level ready to deal with the RuneLord. I hope to continue after the defeat of Kurzog with a series of adventrues that pit the PC's in a race to find the other parts of the Phylactry before Zutha's minions can get them, or take the one they have.
