Google Site Builder RPG Campaign Template

Homebrew and House Rules

Hey all, I've been using Google Site Builder for some time now, particularly to make a site for my various campaigns. It's evolved into a very useful website and I've made it available as a template on Google Site Builder.

You can check it out RIGHT HERE

If you have a Google ID and you are logged in, you should be able to click a button at the top right of that page to create your own site from the template. Whether you have an ID or not, you can look through the template to see what you think.

If at any point you go to the Site Builder page and are searching through templates, this is the only one that comes up when you search for RPG, Pathfinder, D&D, Roleplaying, Campaign, and more. So there doesn't seem to be much else out there in the way of ready-to-go templates.

The page works equally well for play-by-post or face-to-face campaigns, and I hope you'll agree that it contains some useful features.

If you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them; just post them here. Thanks!

Note: all the content complies with the Community Use Policy and the project is listed on the Registry

I posted this originally on the Play By Post Discussion board and got some good feedback but I think this is a good place for it as well. I'm sure if it's not one of the forum gods will smite me :)

Cool.. there are some good ROTRL-related images on the first few pages of the Paizo blog FYI..

Also, there are some useful ones in the Community Use package:

This post might be useful for people too. I found a site that lets you give Google Maps functionality to images, like, for example, gaming maps. I've been messing around with it and I think it's going to be very cool.

To the poster above, if the template changes and you want your site to look the same, Google Sites is nice about keeping formatting when you copy and paste.

So you could, for example do a select all on the template's Equipment page, copy, and paste it into a blank page and it will look the same.

Wow, I absolutely love this.
I have my CotCT campaign set up there now. Thank you so much for doing this. I am just barely computer competent enough to be able to use it.
Sadly, I think my players are as bad off as I am, but I think we'll still get really good use out of it.

Thanks again.

Awesome.. glad you like it! That's the nice thing about the Google setup is the ease of use. Definitely check out the help link at top right of the page. It helped me through many a head-scratcher. And if you have any questions don't hesitate to post up here too and we'll see what we can do. Happy gaming, and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks! Merry Christmas to you! I am slowly getting a handle on it.

Added an OOC page called The Tavern, with a sign for a famous watering hole from a home campaign from ages ago called The Soggy Duck.

Happy New Year everyone! Please let me know if you think of any changes or additions that are needed!
