Cold Meatloaf sandwiches and chips. Mmmmmm.......so good!

Hi Solnes! How are you today?

Meat loaf sounds good, can't remember the last time I had fresh cooked meat loaf.

I am doing well. Hungry. :)

I made two meatloafs last night with the intention of sandwiches for today. I love meatloaf! :)

Of course Russians love children!

They make an excellent borscht.

Just made stir fried string beans and mushrooms with oyster sauce over white rice. Yummy. And healthy. YAY new years resolutions.

I miss my grandma's meat loaf. She'd make it so moist that it didn't even need ketchup.

Going to devour my dinner post. Coffee is a bad substitute for food. Talk at ya'll later. :)

That's no fun. Unless you love your job. Do you even get days off? It seems to me like you work your tail off.

On call weekend. I try to get every other weekend when at all possible. ~shrugs~ The pay is good, so I can't complain too much. Besides, my roof is starting to not only cost an arm and a leg, but a kidney too.

No. It is more like I am an Idiot. I should have dealt with my roof a year or two ago when I firt noticed it. Or even better, not bought this damn house in the first place. That is what I get for not listening to my gut instead of some of my friends. ~gives a very bitter sigh~

~shrugs~ It is getting fixed one way or another. At least I am not waiting another year or two. ~grimaces~ Yea, this screws up several of my plans, but I can't have the house get messed up just because of my roof.

Hugo/Butterfrog drew a dire corgi for me, and I've statted it up. Let me know what you think.

Dire Corgi:

Dire Corgi CR 1
XP 400
N Medium Animal
Init +2; Senses low-light vision, scent; Perception +4
DEFENSE
AC 14, touch 12, flat-footed 12; (+2 Dex, +2 natural)
hp 15 (2d8+6)
Fort +6, Ref +5, Will +1
OFFENSE
Speed 40 ft.
Melee bite +4 (1d6+4 plus trip)
STATISTICS
Str 16, Dex 14, Con 17, Int 3, Wis 11, Cha 6
Base Atk +1; CMB +4; CMD 16 (20 vs. trip)
Feats Skill Focus (Acrobatics)
Skills Acrobatics +9 (+17 when jumping), Perception +4, Survival +0 (+4 scent tracking); Racial Modifiers +8 Acrobatics when jumping, +4 Survival when tracking by scent
ECOLOGY
Environment any
Organization solitary, pair, or pack (3-12)
Treasure none

These larger versions of the corgi live and work in halfling communities. Halflings typically train dire corgis for combat and as riding dogs, rather than as herding dogs, due to their size and relative ferocity. Elite halfling warriors take these creatures as mounts, and it is not uncommon to find a paladin with a dire corgi as a divine steed.

Hee hee. I figured the corgi would be a perfect fit for halflings.

I'd do a Boston Terrier mount for my bard Pip, but that's just my preferences showing (and a BT in barding would be uber-cool!)

Liberty's Edge

they really need to do campaign world adjunct dog breeds.
In Greyhawk, there is no Boston.

Funny story: Back at the beginning of the Noughts, I was playing a lot of Everquest, and one of my favorite characters was a halfling ranger named Corgi Anklebyter. Had a lot of fun doing the DPS with that little murder machine. A glass cannon, but if you kept the aggro mobs off him he could pump out the damage melee OR ranged.

A Sasserine Terrier? Bet they could be dire, I mean think about the rats that must live in the sewers there!

That's really cool.

Liberty's Edge

I think I had in mind chihuahuas for Sasserine, due to the Aztec analog, but I reckon all those sailors would bring fighting dogs.

Yah I had fun for a while. Then it got to be like a job that I was paying to go to. Not so much fun then.

Liberty's Edge

Oh, and chihuahua versions of velociraptors.

RPG Superstar 2012

Does the writeup look OK? If so, I'll post this with the link to Hugo's illo in the Homebrew section.

BTs are actually a hybrid of 'pit dogs' that the Bostonian servants had mixed with the 'toy' dogs that the Boston Brahmins kept. They are small, but scrappy as hell. And they make great ratters.

I stayed away from EQ and WoW, because I had enough distractions in my life. I also had a friend who lost his job because he couldn't tear himself away from EQ.

Yeah; my wife had one. She was always giving me hell.

If they're gonna be mounts shouldn't you up the HD a bit? I'm not an expert, but 15 hp kinda leaves Fluffy swinging out in the wind. What's a war dog get in PF?

Same here.....I'd be a mess if I played that junk.

I've got two, they terrorize my huge Golden Retreiver to no end. Poor George, he's just a gentle giant, and he can't stand up to the 30-pound terrorists.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I compared it to a pony and a riding dog, which both have 13 hp.

Honestly it's a huge time sink, and especially EQ when you get to the high levels, you kinda had to join a guild and go on raids to progress. That used to take HOURS to arrange... WoW was a bit better, but I was already burnt out after my years of EQ, so I kinda only played solo and it got old fast.

Plus, it's a little repetitive. I like the storylines in PbP much better. (And it's free)

Heh heh...the "boston terrorist" label is a pretty common nickname I see. Poor Golden Retriever...
