I implemented a few of the random name generators WotC have published in various 3.5 sourcebooks (Races of Stone, Races of the Wild, Races of Destiny, Drow of the Underdark) a while back, as well as a random name picker using the racial name lists from the Player's Handbook and Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.
I've put them online, so if anyone else finds a use for them, please do!

One of my biggest problems when I create a PC is picking a name for him/her. I followed your link and ran a test. It looks very usefil and I like the grouping of many races together. Thank you.

That was faintly amusing. I was clicking on the buttons (looks nice by the way) and couldn't get any names. Click click click click click and still nothing. I wondered if there was a bug in the code or if it didn't work under firefox or if I had missed some operating instructions or something.
And then I realised I had JS turned off.
