Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Has anyone made a comprehensive list of the countries and areas of Golorian, with the real life culture they are based on. I've seen some areas discussed, and have a pretty good idea on most, but would like to see a comprehensive list.

+1!

It has been discussed, but there isnt anything comprehensive, because Golarion isnt earth, and the analogues are bit losser than direct ports.

Yeah. I know it wouldn't be exact, and some places are a mixture of similar cultures, but if I could look over the list for say...A Mongol type culture, then I could go read about that country instead of having to go back and read the Campaign guide again. Paizo churns out so much stuff I can't keep up with the new stuff, let alone go back and read things again ;-).

IN most settings I dislike direct analogs of real life cultures. That is part of what I liked about Golarion and the bulk of Forgotten Realms (with some obviou exceptions). Many of the nations in Golarion are original or amalgams, so I dont think analogs really work well.

That said, part of what I loved about 7th Sea was the direct analogs to earth nations. But that was part of the world concept for that setting from the beginning. And I dont think it would have wide appeal for many to only have 6 to 8 nations in a world.
