does extra channel really not stack? or is it just a typo?
i've seen that the other similar abiltiies do stack
Extra rage
Extra music
Extra lay on hands
Extra ki
all these have wording that they stack
Why not extra channel?
i beleive it's a typo. is this assumption correct?
if so it needs errata.
it now actually has a purpose besides metamagic fodder. so i beleive that letting it stack like it's cousins is a good thing.
if they party cleric wants to be a bag of positive channels, why not let them?
if a cleric wants to burn 5 feats to get 10 extra channels, what's wrong?
does it really not stack or is it just a typo? i hope it's the latter.

I also think an errata is needed.
I think it is fair for Extra Channel to stack, but my main beef is with the difference between Extra Channel and Extra Lay On Hands with regard to paladins.EC gives 4 uses of lay on hands (for healing only) ELOH gives 2 uses of lay on hands (for healing/channeling). I know the later has greater versatility, but the balance is still squewed in favor of EC.
A paladin can dedicate his lay on hands to channeling and stack up on healing through EC.
What is worse; the paladin now has to keep track of two separate channeling pools.
I think a revision of these feats is needed.

Extra Channel gives a paladin 4 uses of Lay on Hands that can only be used for channeling or 2 extra channels per day. Which is good if everyone needs healing, but he can't use those for his swift heals or have people be effected by mercies. And in combat he will heal the enemy as well has his friends.

As a side note, a first level human cleric adventuring with a 4 other party members could conceivably have 10 channels currently( 20 chr and Extra channel ). That could add up to 50d6 worth of healing( assuming all party members are damaged every time he chooses to channel ). Allowing extra channeling to be taken more than once offers 12 channels at first level or 60d6 potential healing. That increases to 140d6 at 3rd level if you again took extra channeling. That seems pretty crazy.
I am not as worried about the evil cleric here as his damage per turn is still capped and the party should be targeting him as quickly as possible.
