1. The template says to use the Charisma Mod for Bonus hp. But the Charisma Score changes to 10, giving no bonus.
2. The template says, "Drop HD gained from class levels (minimum
of 1) and change racial HD to d8s." So, you keep one of the class HD and it doesn't change to a d8?
1. It says "Zombies use their Charisma modifiers to determine bonus hit points (instead of Constitution)," as all undead do now. The fact that it is set to 10 is irrelevant to this. Basically, being a pretty zombie doesn't help your hp.
While a Zombie won't ever get hp from it's Charisma modifier, it's important to mention, to avoid confusion. Also.. you could cast Mass Eagle's Splendor on your zombie horde... think of it like breakdancing zombies from Thriller.
2. It should perhaps say "Drop HD gained from class levels and change racial HD to d8s (minimum of 1 HD)." It's just saying that you don't drop *all* the class HD if it doesn't have racial HD.

1) You use a Charisma modifier to determine a zombie's hit points, even though most zombies have a 10 Charisma and thus no bonus to add. This changes if you make an advanced zombie or if you cast eagle's splendor on a zombie, of course.
2) This IS a bit unwieldy clumsily written alas. The "Minimum of 1" should say, "Minimum of 1 HD." And since zombies have d8 HD, that basically means "Drop all HD from class levels and then give them 1 HD if they don't have any racial HD." And then you give them a bonus HD for being Medium or whatever.
