Souls and Demons

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

In reading the demon entries in the Bestiary, I have to say, I love the descriptions of the kinds of souls and sins that become demons, similar to the various aspects of death that the daemons embody!

Huh? What?

I don't have it yet, nor the pdf... spill boy.. spill...

The Exchange

It is interesting. Especially the fact that LE offenders must spend millenia trying to crawl out of lemure status where as a CE petitioner is broken into many weak demons based upon the degree of sin. I guess that it makes sense since, in my view, fewer humans and demi-humans would be CE in a fantasy world than LE so the CE's that get consigned to the Abyss should break into multiple creatures.

Grand Lodge

When it comes to afterlife hells, nothing beats Stygia in White Wolf's Wraith. There souls might be made into ravening hunting barghests, or become part of the ultimate reality, every single artifact in the underworld, whether it's walls, vases, or even the coins themselves... referred to as Oboli are made from smelted souls.

But it at least it's not Oblivion.

Dark Archive

The attention to detail on almost every monster is phenomenal! Demons, Devils and Dragons are my current favorites. (Even though I loved the "Dragons Revisited" fluff a LOT)
