Finally the first part of Slumbering TSAR from Necromancer Games done by Greg Vaughn is available.
Go forth and buy this awesome adventure (146 pages) so Necromancer will also release Part II and III of this series!

There is some talk about a LULU version of the book, but so far nothing definite.
I agree that this is a little bit on the expensive site, but if this is a success we will se part II and II and maybe the print versions.
So go and buy the PDF and show Clark that a 3.5 megaadventure still has a market.

Wish it was PFRPG, tho.
Tharen, are you aware of what's the status of Necromancer Games and Pathfinder support ? It seems that whatever they wanted to do with 4ed is pretty much dead in the water, so we're curious as if there is going to be Pathfinder Tome of Horrors :)

Just went over to the Necro Boards: They plan on making a POD available on drivethru. But drivethru is updating their POD and there was no time frame given. But Necromancer will be one of the first to get it.

Can someone tell me why I should get excited by this project? Has anyone got a review handy?
I did an interview with Greg Vaughan a while back. Sort of a preview rather than a review. Tsar comes up towards the end of the interview.
Greg also ran me (and others, of course!) through a snippet of Slumbering Tsar last Paizocon. I mention that here.
Hope that helps a little.

I don't have anything more useful than if you are a fan of the Crucible of Freya/Tomb of Abysthor/Rappan Athuk Necromancer era, or such classics as Tammeraut's Fate/Torrents of Dread/Kings of the Rift/The Hateful Legacy, or some of the more recent hits such as one of my favorites, Into the Haunted Forest and River into Darkness then you really should drink the Kool-Aid.

I don't have those, except for River into Darkness, which I love.

...then if I was going to suggest you get one Necromancer product I think I would encourage you to get Tomb of Abysthor (or maybe the Lost City of Barakus). If that really stirs your dungeon crawling blood then Tsar is a petty intense wilderness sandboxy adventure with the same feel.
