If I wanted to take the Glove of Storing and confer the ability to make the glove (and only the glove, never the character) invisible at will how much extra would it cost to add the feature?
The ability you wish to give the glove resembles the Glammer effect the most.
Glammered armor was at a +1 modifier therefore costing 3000gp at the very least. I would just add it to the clove price multiplying by 1.5 for the added effect.
I.e. 10000gp (glove of storing) + (4500gp (invisible)= 3000gp(glammer)x 1.5 (secundary magic ability)) = 14.500gp

Before making your decision, keep in mind that gloves of arrow snaring have the exact ability your PC is looking for in addition to granting a feat twice per day.
I think the ability is more flavor than usefulness. I'd give it to him for free or for a small amount of extra gold.

Not so.
That ability would give him a perfect and automatic concealment for any weapon or handheld item.I can think of many uses both martial and larcenous.

make the glove (and only the glove, never the character) invisible at will
Hopefully the character will have a way of seeing invisibilty at will. Otherwise, dropping the glove could be a major inconvenience.

Good built, just a slight nitpick:
Glamered is a straight +2700gp (it doesn't stack with the enhancement bonus cost) so 10000+4050= 14050, get a potion of invisibility with the money you save, it's on me! ;)
IMO, the effect being only visual, someone searching (frisking) the character would get a Will save DC11 to notice the glove and someone shaking his hand would notice someting weird even if he fails the save. Something to consider and discuss between DM and Player.

And just because the gloves are invisible doesn't mean you can feel them over your skin. If they fell of while invisible, you'd know it because the sensation of wearing the gloves would be gone.
Oh, I have no problem with you knowing that the glove had fallen off. I was visualizing you at a social event with lots of dancing and mingling nobles, and you dropping your glove. The antics to find it if you can't see invisible items could be hilarious.

I imagine though that its like any other worn magic item continuous ability, it doesn't function if it isn't worn.
So losing your glove would make it visible.
Isn't that because the worn magic item is affecting the character? If the glove was made to be invisible, would not the invisibility power only affect the glove and so stay invisible all the time?

Could be done either way I'd imagine. Either it'd emulate Gloves of arrow snaring where their appearance is altered once worn
Or you could just treat them as if they had a permanent invisibility spell cast on them.
All personal tastes! Challenging someone to a duel using an invisible glove would be quite fun. =)
