I would say "as per human, unless something unusual happens" and with tieflings, unusual is part of the game.
Most tieflings should have a human lifespan, but it would not be unheard of for a tiefling to grow to full maturity in five years and wither into senility and death in another twenty, or for another tiefling to age incredibly slowly or not at all. After all, people make pacts with the devil for eternal youth. How devilish would it be for the fiend to agree to give them that in exchange for their first born child, then have that child be a tiefling and the eternal youth be something that the child got? "Yes, you had eternal youth for nine months. Then you gave birth. Now your child will have it."

This is always a good question. Especially with other races and templates. Really, sense elves and other races can be tieflings as well, I always thought it should have been a template.
Considering devils, last I checked, are immortal, doubling or increasing by 25% of other parent race (not devil) would be good choices.

In 3.5 I believe you're right the Planetouched(Tiefling) and Planetouched(Aasimar) were given as templates. In Pathfinder, Tiefling is a particular race, not a template. Quote from the Bestiary Preview: "Tieflings are humans with demonic, devilish, or other evil outsider blood in their ancestry"
In the same way that only humans will could make hybrids with Orcs or Elves, Otherwise we'd have half Half-Orc / half Gnome creations running around, and I know you wouldn't want that, would you??!?!?!!?

I found a mention that tieflings have the same life expectancy as a human on page 126 of Races of Faerun. The Planar Handbook, on the other hand gives them these:
Middle Age: 45
Old Age: 68
Venerable: 90
Max Age: +3d20, for a max of 150
Let's see what the Bestiary says. And I'd never heard of either a template for tieflings nor tieflings as anything but a distinct race (i.e. no elven tieflings) before. Could someone point me to these?
