I started a thread with a title that would have offended a lot of people and probably did before it was removed.
I didn't see it offensive when I started it but became obvious after just a few posts that it was, but at that point I couldn't take it back.
I would like to apologize to anyone who was offended, I really didn't intend to insult you but I did.
I can only say that I will much greater thought into the titles of any future thread I start instead of the first thing the pops into my head.

I have no idea what you're talking about.
However, assuming you're sincere, and I am, it is decent of you to recognize an error you have made and make an attempt to make ammends.
Too many people do one of the following:
(a) Scamper off and lurk.
(b) Rather than admit their mistake, just become more shrill, strident and belligerent.
(c) Offer a very flippant, insincere, "My bad."
I congratulate you for choosing a different path.

Hey, I've done this before. Got really poed when I was temp banned. Left forums for a while. I'm on my return tour. Is this thread the one everyone is talking about?

As someone who was offended by the tone of the thread, thank you for your apology. Sometimes politics becomes overheated, and sometimes people who should know better post things badly. It takes a big person to apologize. Just remember that not all conservatives are racist thugs, any more than all liberals are frothing communists. Demonizing the other side because of the actions of some fringe members doesn't help the debate.
