Where'd the "posts x-y of z" go?

I've just noticed that the page label at the top and bottom of each page don't have an indication of which posts are visible on that page any more.

I found that it was pretty useful for keeping track of whether any new posts had been made while I was browsing the previous pages of a thread, is there any particular reason it's been removed?

Calixymenthillian, that was almost exactly the post I was composing in my head.

It's always easier to complain about changes than to see the positive sides of them, but this seems to be a regrettable loss. Perhaps it was taking too much processing time?

Although this change didnt affect me, I also want to say "Thank you". The attention paid to this site by the staff is phenomenal.
