Derek and I have been looking for critical mass ... and a place ... at the last few Stratigicons.
BTW- We missed you Zeugma. Hope you can make the next Con.

I was there. I just wasn't playing in any Pathfinder games. I was in a Savage Worlds game that got canceled, a GURPS and an OD&D game that ate up a lot of my time, and a 4eD&D demo. I wanted to play some Pathfinder, but either the slots were filled before I signed up, they were meeting when I couldn't be there, or it was for a higher level than my character.
Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm in Westchester.

Sorry about the Savage Worlds game, Zeugma. Hopefully I'll have it correctly scheduled at the next con ^_^.

Wow. Great response. Would you guys be interested in the Pathfinder Society modules. I already bought Silent Tide. It might be a good chance for everyone to get to know each other.
Well, I assumed that's all we were talking about! ;-)
Yes, Pathfinder Society mods are all I want at this point. I think you'll have difficulty getting anybody to do Silent Tide, since it is a Year 0 and many may have played it.
We may want to move this to the YahooGroup where I can program a poll that allows us to see who has played what mod.

[Some of this is re-posted from the yahoo group, but I'm not sure if everyone is on that list]
[Derek suggested a weeknight game, maybe 7-11.]
A weeknight game, say 7-11 would work for me too - probably Tues would be best for me. At that time, it'd probably have to be Yesi or I, as someone's got to put the boy to bed. I'd be willing to try it at my apartment once, although the later we start, the more likely we are to get both of us (plus our son would be way interested in what we were doing). I wonder if 8:30 or 9 until midnight would be possible.
I was talking with Thomas from SD about putting together a spreadsheet of the mods that we and he have already played to facilitate GMing at St. Crispins. Maybe the same thing would help here. If anyone interested in a West LA game wants to send me their list of games-played, I'll put that together in the next week or so. I actually have all the mods so far (as I compulsively buy them and then don't read them in case I ever have a chance to play them).
Cheers everyone, and it seems like we might just get this thing going!
Brian
PS- Hi to Rachel (I don't think I know you yet), and Derek, would anyone from your home-game group be interested in joining us?

Where is Aero Hobbies located?
They're actually within walking distance of my domicile (if I feel like walking for a half hour). I also happen to know the owner. Although it's usually not open late on weekdays (closes at 8 PM most of the time), it would be a good central location with a game table on weekends. If I tell Keith in advance that we want to play there he will make sure to check the schedule and see about table space. The store is pretty narrow but there is a long set of tables down the middle, and we could easily take an end near the back door and play there.
I have a whole group of friends who are champing at the bit to play some Pathfinder, and I am also willing to run some adventures (as long as I don't get too far behind on the gold and prestige by running everything!).

Confirmed, should have 2 seats available for additional tier 1-2 players.
Hey Jesse,
It'd be good to get together sometime. I just posted that I'll be running a home game on Sunday Evening, October 4th. If anyone is interested, I'll be running The Devil We Know, Part I: Shipyard Rats. We should be starting around 6:30PM or so.

Baron is really interested in getting Pathfinder Society credit for mods, so that he can get his character into games at local conventions and . . . ahem . . . impress people with his role-playing. I am gonna be out of town this weekend for a con in Ontario, but I'll have Baron get in touch with you to see what we can work out.
I've heard that Shipyard Rats has a tendency to TPK tables . . . good luck to your group!|

I'm in Culver City as well, though I'm just getting into Pathfinder. I've got a Thursday night 4e game and an every other Sunday night Pathfinder game as well.
How does one get credit for Pathfinder Society games held at home or by others?
Jesse: What night works for you?
Hmelrose, the guide to organized play reviews how to get credit for homegames. Basically you just have to submit them.

It's getting to be the last minute, but there are still 2 seats open at my place in Montclair for tomorrow morning. Search for area code 91763. Running Assault on the Kindgom Impossible, and Decline of Glory (Tiers 1 & 2)
I'm interested, yet Driving directions to Montclair, CA 91763 show
43.9 mi – about 47 mins (up to 1 hour 50 mins in traffic) add in that most of that will be on the 10 and that you'd need me there in the morning.

Looking for a game in Orange County/Riverside or Long Beach!!
I would like to find a regular game in Orange County (during the week day evenings is ok, as I live in North OC and work in South OC).
Or
I would like to join in a game in Long Beach/OC/Riverside on Weekends.
Driving into LA County weekday afternoon/Evenings is a killer so a two hour drive is not worth the pleasure of the game.
Does anyone want to start a once a month group or already have one that needs another player?
If anyone is interested in starting/joining a new group, I would be willing to share the GM responsibilities every few adventures to spread the love.
Thanks

Its been a busy few day for me and for Hazzard.
I hit up several sites for Pathfinder / RPG affiliated groups on both meetup.com and yahoo. I was able to get in 4 games of Pathfinder Society. Wed started off with Preston's game and it was awesome, I went to St. Crispin's on Saturday, but the first module ran late so I was only able to get one game in and then on Sunday I participated in the Montclair group's games, which were moved to Don's in Orange, great groups at all locations and Hazzard is now lvl 2 with 5 Faction points!
I think there is Pathfinder Society group in Redondo beach as well, though I'm not sure how to get in contact with that group.
This is mainly where I've been communicating and looking for games. Does anyone else know of any other online groups?

I'm curious as to whether anyone here would be interested in playing the Kingmaker adventure path when it comes out? I'd run it on Sundays, at my loft in downtown Los Angeles, probably playing noon-7pm or something like that.
Kingmaker sounds really fun -- it's Paizo's take on a 'simulationist' adventure path , with hexes and everything! The goal is ...to be the king!
If this sounds fun, drop me a note at kenmtraveller@yahoo.com
Thanks!

Games I'm aware of in Los Angeles.
Preston - Wed night games in Palms/Culver City, alternate between PFS & Council of Thieves Adventure path, you can see his contact info above. We usually get a full table with 4 players, but could use more.
John Willy - Every other Sunday games - 2 Pathfinder Society games - Getting close to 2 tables full for 8 plus players! Great group, you can contact him via pathfindergm@yahoo.com
Jerry - I've played a game with his group in Signal Hill and I saw him at Strategicon - Closer to Orange county & had some players come up from San Diego to game.
Ken - spoke about wanting to start the Kingmaker adventure path on Sundays - kenmtraveller@yahoo.com
St. Crispins - http://www.meetup.com/stcrispins/calendar/12522786/ A once a month gathering of gamers in Anaheim.
There may be more games going on, we just need to get all the different groups together and communicate.

The games at Preston's have been going well, we're still rolling through the Council of Thieves Adventure path, but have also played other Pathfinder Society games and even a few D20 offsets if we're having an off night.
We've played Cthulhu, Fantasy Craft D20 Witchfire Trilogy, D20 Modern, Battle Star Galactica board game. Its a great group of people.

Greetings! I've been away from the Paizo boards too long. My apologies. I enjoy a lot of the customization dealing with the Character build, it allowed for a more dynamic character that actually reflected a life lived and interests in other stuff other than being just a straight fighter or cleric.
Updated List:
The following is mainly where I've been communicating and looking for games. I have a weekly or bi-weekly game in Palms/Culver City area, we're finishing up the Council of Thieves Adventure Path and are gearing up to start the KingMaker Adventure Path.
The Council of Thieves Adventure path should be back is played on Monday nights at Preston in Palms,Ca near Culver City, I will be there. Its a great adventure path. Some nights we have off nights which we use to try out a different game. - Preston usually has between 4-5 people playing, though it can be more.

Except the part where I keep almost getting killed.

Hazzard wrote:The games at Preston's have been going well...Except the part where I keep almost getting killed.
Get some dang armor dude and quit thinking you're a front line fighter when you're really a hybrid ranger/rogue back stabby kind of guy. Let the Tank be the Tank.
It is hilarious though.
Is he going down tonight?
You do qualify for this achievement from the back of the Legacy of Fire Players guide:
Graverisen [Achievement]
Death is no stranger to you, for you have risen from the
grave to continue your quest many times.
Requirement: Die and be brought back at least twice.
Benefit: You gain a single-use supernatural ability to
save yourself from death. The next time you would be
killed, you may use this ability, leaving you alive and
otherwise unaffected by the attack that would have killed
you, even against effects with no saving throw. This does
not require an action, and works even if you are helpless
or unconscious. If you die and are brought back to life,
you gain another single use of this ability. You can only
have one use of this ability unspent at any time; any others
you might accrue beyond the first are lost.

Pathfinder group in Palms, Ca, near Palms & Overland, they're are 5 of us that are the core of the group, (2 of which DM regularly) with any number of other players dropping in from time to time, We're always on the lookout for more players to join in on the fun.
Monday nights from about 7 til midnight, We mostly do one night on and one night off, so the following Monday night we might play another D20 Modern, a 1 shot Pathfinder module, Fantasy Craft, Arkham Asylum, Dominion, Battle Star Galactica board game, Gamma world or pretty much anything else.
Occasionally, we get together on other nights for gaming since we all live in the Culver City/Palms area of Los Angeles.
We're all 30+ and have played the games for decades, very loose and nonjudgmental.
We're on the last book of the Council of Thieves AP and will take a short break then start up Kingmaker Adventure path.
Our character generation for Kingmaker has raised some eyebrows on the Paizo boards as we're generating characters based on the 3D6 in order or 'Hand of God' method. It should be interesting and fun.
Several of us are active on the Paizo boards and in this thread. If you're interested simply post here or contact me, Preston or Mosaic I'm sure one of us could get you more info for the game. :) I look forward to rolling dice with any and all of you.
