does anyone have a pathfinder group in el paso i could join in about 2 months (the time i get back there)? my last adventure to find one barely worked out, but i don't know if they've even heard of pf... but evenstill.
I'm sure gaming in El Paso is possible... although dangerous. El Paso & Juarez, MX (by extension) are two of the most dangerous cities in this HEMISPHERE! Make sure to never leave home without your full plate donned and extra rings of DEX to dodge bullets.

Military guys game a lot (if my time in service was any indication), so you might want to see if there's a group around Ft. Bliss that you can join.
yea, i gotta be able to pry them from wow first, then try and captivate their attention. for some reason, human interaction that's not involved in digital combat or vast amounts of alcohol doesn't seem plausible. i'm surprised that i got a group together (drawback: we were also creating new drinks in the process from the previous night's party...drunken gaming, not the best at times...)

Don't worry, UOS. El Paso has a population of almost 700,000 people. You can bet that some of them are gamers, and some of those gamers are into PF like we are, if the early success of the PFRPG is any indication.
When you go back, just check around any game stores and ask around. I'm willing to bet that there will be a few groups who would be honored to have you at the table. I say that because you strike me as a bright person with a passion for the game. PERFECT! You need nothing else, imo.
BTW, thank you for your service, and I hope you get home safe and healthy. This coming from a "hippie liberal" who didn't want our current conflicts.
My dad was 20-yr. AF, and a real bad-a$$ back in his day. I didn't know that until I was an adult, since he was such a kind, peaceful father to me, as a kid. He was a freakin' Chuck Norris, and I didn't see that at all! Such is the path of the righteous warrior; bad to the bone when he needs to be, sweet as candy to the ones he loves and protects, even if they don't get his role.

You'll find a game that suits you. I'm sure of it. ;)

i'd almost go to lengths to say you could be one of my best friends in disguise... 'hippie liberal' quoting grateful dead... anyways, yea, more than likely i'll end up just bringing the corebook with me to my old group and say 'here. we're playing this tonight.' 1 more month till i'm back stateside, aw-right giggity giggity

Also there is some information >here< about some gamers still in El Paso. Farewell2Kings posts here pretty regularly, I believe he is still in the city and would most likely be a valuable resource.
