I am currently making a cleric for the PF. I just wanted to take a moment and say good job Jason and the rest at Paizo. Having seeing their fearsome power first hand in game, I know you have been getting a lot of flack for re-balancing the the CoDzilla, and I knew you would for doing it, so I thought it was a good idea to let you know how I felt.
I know all too well that you have been pressured in all directions to do things, like change the race art, and I am not sure how much of a majority they were really, so it was even more important that I let you know.
Good Job Paizo

The cleric lost nothing, but their heavy armor proficiency. However, having never played a cleric above 5th level its hard for me to give an accurate assessment of possible rebalancing (which involves going through the spells).
I must say I enjoy the new Domain set-up. Definitely makes the cleric more interesting.

The new Cleric is still more versatile in my opinion now and for those that enjoy "uber" building Clerics you can still make some impressive Clerics but I do believe they have done a good job of giving everyone in the party a role now, which is not overshadowed entirely by another class.
Everybody needs to feel like they are an effective part of the party after all.
All in all I believe they have done a good job and from experience the cleric is still a great foundation of the party and can mix it up in any aspect of an encounter whether its backing up the fighters/monks/paladins on the front line, keeping the party going in the longer more dangerous encounters, engaging in a non violent resolution to encounters (a lot of the rise of the runelord encounters actually had bad guys not insta attacked and killed by our party with some good use of skills, forethought and assessing the situations properly and using the old noggin. Not every person you meet is a Chaotic Evil minion bent on world domination, Mercenaries for example often will back down if outnumbered and facing a sure death), standing at the back with a happy grin towards the wizard/sorceror when your spell obliterates that creature about to attack the party ;)
Its great to be a Cleric, because in every encounter your skills will be needed somewhere :)
n.b I dont just play clerics in case it seems Im biased, we rotate our players round in games where we can

I play and have played quite a few clerics and I am excited to have a chance to play the Pathfinder version of the cleric. Between the new domains powers and at-will orisins my cleric has had an overall boost in power. The 2 domains, Sun and Healing, are perfect for me. Together they make my cleric the best at what he does, destroy undead and heal others.
Bravo Paizo
