Looking at the pathfinder, then back at my old players handbook. The ability of familiars to deliver touch spells seems a bit vague still. Can the familiar move away from the wizard to deliver the touch spell or does he still have to be close to the wizard or in his square?
I say this because I'm building a mystic theurge and I want to know if my familiar can deliver heal spells without me getting in range of a pointy bit...
Also: If the familiar can indeed move away and deliver does flyby attack give the familiar the ability to fly out, touch, then fly back in the same round? Or is flyby attack only for actual attacks?

The familiar needs to be in contact at the time the master casts the spell, but the familiar can then be the "toucher". As you can touch someone as a free action as part of the spell and can otherwise hold the charge, you could do the following:
1. Wizard casts the spell, designating familiar as "toucher".2. Familiar spends a move action to move and deliver the spell.
3. Master still has a move action remaining.
The familiar could use the touch as a standard action touch attack which would allow it to function with Flyby Attack. Of course, the familiar would need to begin with that feat or acquire it some other way since familiars do not normally gain new hit dice and new feats.
