The White Boar of Kilfay - 4E D&D

Gamer Connection

Hi folks, I'm looking for someone who'd like to play in a 4E game set in a sort of Celtic milieu. The group has the following:

Ranger
Paladin
Bard
Artificer

So, ideally the group would need a Controller type; a Druid would be ideal, as their would be a strong 'hook' for such a character.

The game is a continuation of my previous games "Treasure Hunt" and "Twisted Night".

"Tha gurt numpty. Never mentioned hurdy-gurdy recitals."

Silver Crusade

I would be interested. What level would the new character be starting at?

Level 4, with commensurate magical items. I.e. 1 of a level 3, 1 of Level 4, and 1 of Level 5.

Oh yes; you're in, Celestial Healer, by the way. :D

I had ran this adventure back in 2E. It was a fun one. Enjoy!

Great! I've been wanting to try a druid, actually, so this will be the perfect opportunity. I was thinking of making an elf. Is there anything I should know about elves in the campaign?

I should have a character worked up within a few days.

Excellent!

We now need another player as well to bring the group to 5. Anyone else?

We now have -

Rev Rosey - Bard
Thrugnipp - Artificer
Elor Danar - Paladin
Celestial Healer - Druid

So a Striker seems like a good idea.

Still got room? I fancy playing 4e (as opposed to DM'ing). Does it matter if I don't know about what has passed before?

Problem, though - I am out of the country and away from my books for the next two weeks or so.

Have room for a sixth person?

I'll post links to the previous game to see if it's something you'd like:

Twisted Night Game Thread

You don't need to know what happened before in great detail; each adventure has been essentially self-contained with some backstory. The only PCs who've been through both adventures are Healaugh and Ynyr.

I'm going to keep it to 5 for now, but thank you for the interest, Davi.

Aubrey - you up for it?

The Exchange

If you don't need to start for two weeks (though I can sneak into Borders, I suppose) - I'm in Chicago on business and I don't have my books, so I can't really create a character until I get back home to the UK. If you want to start sooner, it might be best I drop out. Your call as DM, I guess.

We can wait, I think, so Celestial Healer can create a PC, and the others can redo their characters.

The Exchange

OK - I was thinking Barbarian. A celtic warrior in light armour. Do you have any character creation house rules/requirements?

That sounds great.

House Rules

The Common language is replaced with Korrinish. Giant is also known as Fhoi Myore.

No double weapons - I hate them with the passion of a thousand suns. It's one of the few things I get geek rage, "hat of d02 know no limit" over. The exception is the humble quarterstaff.

Everyone gets Wealish as a language (replaces Common). Other human languages are:

Illuskan
Korrinish

No sunrods.

DISCUSSION THREAD is up.

Davi - you're in reserve!
