The veins in the walls of the main tunnel are branching to other ones - but not all the veins to all the tunnels. Some of the tunnel have red veins in their walls, some have blue ones, and only few tunnels have black veins it their walls.
"Now," Al says between breaths as he hurries along, "I ain't no... authority on the... subject, but ah do reckon... that black blood... is pretty much always... a bad sign."
The old man leans heavily on his walking stick as he struggles to keep up the pace, "I also reckon... tha' by followin' those black veins... we'll find ourselves... the source o' some trouble... whether it's the one... we're looking for though... I cannae say."
The path behind you is now completely closed, and the muddy sewer water is starting to change to viscous yellow-green substance.
"We follow the black veinss then. And quickly, before Kaledun tries to digesst uss."
I'm gonna wait for all the players to decide which tunnels they want to follow. Those characters that left the game (Leaf, for example)are considered left behind in the closed part of the tunnel, but if their players want to return to the game at some later time, I can incorporate them back easily.

I think that it's safe to assume that consensus is to follow black-blooded tunnels There are four tunnels with black veins in front of you. It seems that they lead in different directions, but you cannot say for sure. It's possible that they converge at some point. But then, it's possible that they in fact lead to different parts of this living sewer.

"Very well then, we shall follow the black veins." The pixie hovers for a moment looking at each of the four black veined tunnels, briefly suppressing his invisibility before moving towards tunnel number 1d4 ⇒ 4, "this one looks the most promising."

Going down the tunnel, Alderthane suddenly yelps and jumps backwards, as far as his old bones allow him. A glob of translucent viscous slime narrowly misses him, and his animals. But the others are not that lucky. Unaware of their surroundings, they were unprepared for the attack from the ceiling of the organic tunnel. All except Alderthane take acid damage, no save 1d6 ⇒ 5 Your eyes drawn to the ceiling, all of you realize that some kind of slimy boneless creature has flatten itself above you, and is now growing pseudopods, trying to catch you all in its clutches. Initiative 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (7) - 5 = 2. Please roll initiative all of you.
The viscous slime splatters across Zissaren's scales then begins to drip down to the sewer floor, leaving him entirely unharmed, if a little disgusted.

The Cat suddenly yowls when the acid hits it. It arches its back and hisses, spitting at the foul jelly.

The slime always acts last. So, when Luff and Alderthane make their initiative, you can all attack. The ceiling is to high for the slime to be attacked using melee weapons. You may try to hit pseudopods, but they will be much harder to hit than main body.

Luff beats his wings vigorously to throw off the burning slime, then turns his attention to their attacker.

The pixie waves his arms up towards the slimy creature, unleashing a wave of stomach churning energies, relying on his invisibility to aid his attack. Flitting back down the tunnel to conceal his location, he looks back to gauge his options.
I'm assuming this is an ooze creature so I'm not including the bonuses for invisibility.

Al stands his ground, holding forth his cane he speaks a short prayer to Shaundakul and a blast of swirling wind bursts outward towards the hanging creature. Rodrigo hisses viciously at the acidic ooze that coats his fur, then lashes out recklessly at the nearest pseudopod.
"Down, Rodrigo!" the old man yells, but the badger's anger towards the source of his pain overrides the command.

Rodrigo rages due to taking damage, then attacks the nearest pseudopod.

The Cat hauls cat-arse back away from the beast, taking cover behind Alderthane.

Zissaren dodges the flailing pseudopods with ease and pulls another spear from his pack, levelling it and letting fly at the blob.

Zissaren's devastating attack severs pseudopods from the creature, and it desintegrates, showering the group with globules of its viscous body. Reflex check, or take 1d6 ⇒ 4 acid damage.
