I've noticed almost 10 threads on Rules Clarification scattered throughout the messageboards, so I thought I'd start a thread that complies them for everyone's convenience. So if you've already helped clarify a rule for one of your fellow gamers, please post it here. If you have a rule you want clarified, then post it here and we can work together to come up with the best solution.
So, for my first question, I noticed that detecting secret doors within 10ft is no longer in the Elven Racial Traits (pg. 22) but in the Environment chapter, under Secret Doors (pg 414), it states "Elves have a chance to detect a secret door just by casually looking at an area." Also, since Half-Elves count as Elves "for any effect related to race" would they also have this ability? If this is covered elsewhere in the Core Book please list the page number. I know I could House Rule it, but for the moment I want to try the new rules as is. So... what's the consensus?
Half elves auto check for secret doors just like elves, but I doubt you will find it made clearer anywhere in the rules than the sections you already cited.
As far as a single thread for all rules clarifications, I need to point out to you that this entire forum is dedicated to clarifying the rules. If only a single thread were designated to handle it all, it would quickly run to hundreds or thousands of pages.
