It seems to me that the watermarking copy protection in the pdf would be rendered useless if the information in it did not necessarily match that of the actual purchaser. What would prevent a nefarious buyer* from buying it for 'John Doe' and then blasting it across the internet?
* I am speaking of a hypothetical nefarious buyer and explicitly do not mean to imply that the OP would do this.

As doppelganger touched on, our PDF watermarking and delivery system is tied very intimately in our database with the account through which the PDF is purchased. Furthermore, your Paizo account is tied very intimately with the associated payment methods (i.e. credit cards), order history and any subscriptions or subscription history.
Therefore it has proven exceedingly difficult to devise a way to gift PDFs (and subscriptions, for that matter).
We (and by "we" I mean "Gary"), are working on adding Wish lists, and gifts to the site. However, this functionality may be a ways down the line.
Thanks,

How about something that generates a random code which you can then put into the promotion box when you order. You could then buy a "gift certificate" in the online store and you'd have access to that code, which you could then send to whoever you intended the gift for?
Or is that too easy to break/crack and/or implement?
