Heya, I'm back! (I luv deh beaches!) :D
I forgot all about the CMB/CMD stuff, I'll figger it up asap, (won't be TOO impressive anyhoo, he IS a bookworm!) ;P
Also will TRY to get the shopping list updated tomorrow morning as well, but just got back and got to get the kids to school tomorrow!
Luv the intro posts! Thx!
See ya in the morning!

I believe that Will is all done, I added CMB/CMD under combat, and finished his shopping (actually added up what stuff costs this time!)
I gave him 4 scrolls, at the cost of his making them himself. I hope that's alright. If not, I'll trade in those 4 for 2 scrolls of spells that he doesn't have.
Nice intros! Can't wait to see where this is going!

I've rejigged my feats and traits a bit. I hope it's okay to take the Historian trait, from the Legacy of Fire Player's Guide. It's technically a Garundi trait, but fits nicely with my character's background in Absalom. Let me know if it's not okay, and I'll chose something different.

Wow Rad! Remind me not to cross your cleric! (Or go to confession with him either!)
THAT boy's gots issues! ;)
Great start all, I can't wait to see what happens when we all get together! :)
Question about the costume/masquerade, I noticed in your descriptions of costumes available that there were 'animals, kings' etc, what would be a good fit for the period, a fantastical creature, such as a griffon? Or is there a potentially offensive famous character, such as a Runelord or bloodthirsty king, that would go with the period? I'm thinking Will would lean towards that kind of outfit, not even realizing the potential to offend someone! (heh, heh)

Any kind of animal is a fine choice as are magical beasts like rust monsters, dragons, etc. A griffon might be hard to pull off, but you can probably think of a creative solution (eagle mask with a lion pelt cloak?). And monstrous races, like boggards, ogres, etc. along with things styled to resemble the popular interpretation of Azlanti culture. I don't know how well known ancient Thassilon is outside of Varisia, so I'll have to do some reading. Also might be the wrong time period. The most offensive thing you can be, due to recent tensions, is anything Qadiran. If you wanted to be loose with the theme, Osirian relics are often traded for Azlanti ones on the market. A specific figure would be totally lost on the audience, since Aroden is likely the only figure recognizable enough.

Thanks J.K.
Since I don't know a Quadirian from a Chelaxian, I'll probably stick with a fantastic /mythical beast. (I like the eagle's mask with a Lion pelt, that would work!) :)
I somehow com-pletely missed the part where we weren't in Varisia! ;P
So, would Thassilonian still be a viable language choice? Or should I pick something else?( I mean, there are still giant remnants of an ancient civilization dotting the local landscape, right?)
Azlanti, Osirian? Can anyone point me to a web site or someplace where I can get info indicating the difference between Varisia, Inner Sea, etc? I'm fairly clever, but it's gonna be tough sounding like an intellectual if I don't even know the different countries! ;P
And I can't afford all of the (probably wonderful) info books Paizo is publishing on all the areas/countries/states/etc.
-Thanks!

My guess is Ancient Osirian would be a better choice than Thassilonian, considering where we're at (I believe it's technically different from Osirian, but I admit I don't have all of the Golarion stuff, either. Can anyone confirm or correct me?)

Alright, quick history / geography lesson. I am going from memory, not having my books here, so some of this might not be quite right. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
Azlant was (most say) the first and greatest human civilisation. It was located on a continent to the west of what is now the Inner Sea region and was at its height approx 10,000 years ago. It was destroyed in an ancient cataclysm (the fall of the Starstone) that sunk the Azlanti continent, created the Inner Sea and also destroyed Thassilon.
Thassilon was a contemporary civilisation with Azlant (it was founded by a renegade Azlanti wizard), located in and around modern day Varisia (which is now a semi-wild frontier region north of the Inner Sea region). Thassilonian is a dead language. Giant remnants of their civilisation do indeed dot the landscape, but up north in Varisia, not so much around the Inner Sea.
Ancient Osirian is another ancient civilisation located at the south side of the Inner Sea. It was not a contemporary of Azlant or Thassilon, I believe it originated a couple thousand years after those two empires collapsed. Ancient Osirian culture and relics are somewhat ‘in vogue’ at the moment amongst northern inner sea nations such as Taldor and Cheliax.
Taldor is a nation located at the north-east side of the Inner Sea. Several centuries ago it dominated a major empire, but it has now shrunk to a shadow of its former glory and size. Taldor sees itself as something of the successor of ancient Azlanti, and many noble Taldorans would claim Azlanti ancestors (rightly or wrongly).
Cheliax was a former holding of Taldor, but is now a strong nation in its own right, located on the north side of the Inner Sea. Not a nice place, devil worship being the state religion, but one of the dominant powers on the Inner Sea.

Ah! Thanks Moth!
Very nice summary. I have at least heard of Cheliax, having read through RotRL. (Actually played a character from there, till the thread died.)
So, I will presume that Osiron, (Ancient or otherwise) would be a more logical choice for an intellectual starting out in this area, instead of Thassilonian. I shall adjust my languages. :)

Azlanti is also a good choice; it's the root of Taldane (Common) and several other human languages.

Thank you, Azlanti it is!
I will 'pick up' Osirian on my lvl up with another skill point in Languages! :)
Idle question, I still haven't labeled my Bound Item yet.
I know what I'm thinking, (I'm nothing if not predictable!)but am curious, if YOU were to make a Wiz (and choose bound item) WHich item would you take, and why?
Inquiring minds wanna know! :)

Cool! I'm glad YOU have a plan!
Cuz' at this point, neither I nor Will know what;s going on, we're just making it up as we go! :)
(Note the lack of 'Charm Person' due to Enchantment being Opposition school. But I DO have an 'Alter Self' handy! ;)

I've been meaning to kick something together for Zareby and Marten, since it isn't fair to have nothing going on for you guys. But I don't know how fast things will be moving, since Radavel has (understandably) bigger things to worry about than running Silas. We'll continue as best we can.

Again, good to hear. My last post (from Saturday) was after I had been sick for several days and hadn't kept up w/ news. Wasn't even aware a second one was headed his way at the time ...
