Hello all. I'm starting a homebrew game, and I need 4-6 players! What I'm looking for:
* maturity
* ability to roll- and role-play
* availability for a game every two weeks or so
* a mix of male and female players (couples welcome!)
I'm an experienced DM and player. The plan is to develop the campaign organically; I have no set Evil DM Plan (tm). So send me some character ideas via email (sollows@sbcglobal.net) for discussion and let's get going!

Here is some more campaign info:
The Village of Dunlyle: a Pathfinder campaign setting for level one characters
Introduction
Tucked away on the northern frontier of civilization, in the middle of an old forest, lies Loch Viernan. On the cold shores of that deep, dark lake sits Dunlyle, a village of several dozen families. These men (and others of the good folk) are fishermen, farmers, craftsmen, and traders eking out a living and raising their families. The affairs of the larger world are none of their concern; indeed, most have never been more than a mile or two from their homes, and would like to keep it that way. Yet all are eager to hear news from travelers and merchants that find their way to Dunlyle.
Decades of peace have been a two-edged sword for the village; the people have prospered and multiplied, but most have grown soft compared to their forebears.
Player Character Guidelines
• All player characters are built on 15 points (standard fantasy) and must be of non-evil alignment.
• All standard races are allowed. Human, half-elf, half-orc and halfling characters should almost certainly be natives to Dunlyle; dwarves, elves, and gnomes are from nearby settlements of their people.
• Players are encouraged to develop backstories for their characters and relationships with other PCs. What is the character's family like? Why is this character an adventurer?
• All standard classes are allowed. Care should be taken to ensure that the class selection makes sense in connection with the history of the character.
• PCs begin play with the average amount of starting wealth per their class. After equipping, no more than ten percent of starting wealth should remain as coins.
• Prestige classes will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you desire to pursue a prestige class, please notify the DM.
• All PCs are required to take one Knowledge, Craft, or Profession skill that relates to their background.
• PCs native to Dunlyle should strongly consider worshipping Erastil, Sarenrae, or the Druidical faith. Other non-evil faiths are tolerated but not practiced.
• This is a slow-experience, low magic campaign. We are going to take our time developing the characters to create an impactful campaign story together.

You're kidding! You're in Fort Worth, too? Half our Beyond the Vault of Souls party is here! Any Council of Thieves plans?
Joana -- care to join a tabletop game? We have 2 interested players at the moment.

I'm tempted, but I have two reservations. One is that I'm in the middle of a Second Darkness campaign right now that meets about every other week. The other -- and more incontrovertible -- is that my husband and I both play and have 2 small children so we'd have to find babysitters. (Our group meets at our house and are inured to the kids interrupting.)

Glad to hear that you and your husband both play. I wish my wife did!
I have two possible solutions to this, if you want to give it a go:
1. We play at my house, and my wife watches your children along with my one-year-old.
2. We play at your house, and I leave my one-year-old at home. :)
As far as your other campaign goes, I have no problem working around schedules and I understand not wanting to over-commit. Maybe we could get together for a one-timer to see if it makes sense? I am also not totally locked in on a schedule ... once or twice a month seems about right.
Anyway, please email me at sollows@sbcglobal.net and let's see if it works.

Babysitting services?!?!? I'm so in!
Aerinn Lochlass
Human Male Rogue 1
The common thinking around Dunlyle is that Aerinn is – let’s face it – rather an underachiever. He appears to be more interested in spending his time daydreaming and whiling away the days whittling this or that than he is finding an honest to goodness job. While he has a pleasant demeanor, the folk in Dunlyle simply shake their head at his wasted potential.
And he does have potential. His whittling produces flutes, pipes, and drums that he manages to sell both to the rare travelers to Dunlyle as well as to the nearby clan of gnomes, but the scant coins he receives aren’t enough to get by on. He supplements his income, when the mood strikes him, doing odd jobs around the village: making charcoal for the local smith, cleaning and repairing locks, or sweeping up in the shrine of Erastil where he has taken to voraciously reading the few holy texts he can lay his hands upon. And, truth be told, he is also responsible for pilfering the occasional ear of corn or string of fish when times are difficult.
