Question for either the creaters or the community. Are there stats for the Drow Derro Tiefling or other races?? I ask only because I recently drank the Kool-Aid that is Pathfinder and I like what I see. As a new convert I do not have all the books yet. Can anyone help me out?

I haven't seen anything for drow or derro, but rules for tiefling PCs are available in The Bastards of Erebus, the first installment of the latest adventure path.

You'll probably see them in the Monster Manual, I'd reckon.

A Drow Derro Teifling? That is some serious crossbreeding there. ;P

But really, there are some great alt. traits for our feind blooded friends in the Bastards. I am looking forward to whipping up a rogue with them soon, :)

Bestiary due for release in October, but Tiefling appears in both Bastards of Erebus and the free Bestiary preview PDF.

There's also no reason why you can't continue houseruling races from previous 3.5 sources, as while there will be differences, backward compatibility with your current 3.5 library was a conscious Pathfinder RPG design goal.

Oh and by the way Welcome to the boards Killian.

Right, Beastiary, I meant Beastiary.

I wonder if the "Beastiary" will have stats for "ocular tyrants"? ;)

Not likely. As you're already aware, the "B" creatue is closed content (or else you wouldn't be asking), and Paizo have openly and repeatedly stated they won't be making any cheezy attempts at producing strikingly similar creatures by another name. Instead, they'll develop entirely new creatures that fulfill a similar role - there are plenty more creepy aberrations to be feared, there are plenty more opponents with ray attacks. Let Paizo thrill us with their creative talents, and let WotC keep their designated intellectual property. If your really want the "B" creature to appear in your games, Pathfinder is backward compatible with the 3.5 Monster Manual, you don't really need Paizo to convert it for you.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Does anyone else feel guilty when they make a goofy off-hand remark which someone else takes seriously (and takes the time to compose a thoughtful and reasonable reply to)?

Lantern Lodge

No harm done ;-)
