The Cleave feat has gone from a full-attack replacement in beta to a standard attack.
Can you now cleave in a full attack? Just on the first attack (like vital strike)?
Do you have to forego a full attack in order to cleave?
Clarification needed.
Cleave is a standard action. It therefor cannot be used in a full attack which is a full-round action. Cleave is an alternative to a single attack.

Thanks, I thought it was a pretty poor alternative to a full attack until I thought of:
Rogue gets initiative first round, opponents are flat footed, he moves to a group of them, no AOO because flat footed, great cleave! Every opponent within reach gets sneak attacked (until he misses). Very nasty, a great way to kill lots of weaker opponents.
I can see every Rogue wanting this, and it's available at 7th level easily.
Any holes in this?

Only catch is the opponents must be adjacent to one another, not just within reach. You can however use Lunge to gain an extra 5 foot reach. But you incur an additional -2 AC penalty (total to -4 AC). But with Lunge your Long Sword can reach out to 10 feet, and if you have a reach weapon you now reach out to 15 feet!
